When Did God First See You and Choose You?
Many today make God look so small, when they teach that somehow man must do works to be saved!
The LORD looked down from Heaven and beheld you and me, and all who are saved…
Long before you were ever born!
Now tell me, is this Almighty God going to let some weak little man take you away from Him, and defeat His Purpose in you?
How small many make God, that He cannot finish what He foreknew and predestined to be so.
Who do men think they are, to somehow walk away from such a God who knew them before they were ever born?
“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!” Psalm 139:13-17 JNV.

Yes,God clearly says that He will never abandon you and most often we interpret this with the flesh,the thoughts (spirit) inside ourselves which origins from our fallen nature,our selfishness.
But,He also clearly says (read “warns”)that you will be cut of and be cast away like a dry branch IF you not abide in Him and that you must “work out your salvation with fear and trembling”.
So,what He really says is that IF there is anyone that will abandon anyone then He is not the one that will so it,but yourself, because He keeps His part of the covenant,but you are able to break your part of it IF you not continue in it.
That is the “work” you must do.
