When Leaders Build Altars to Baal — the People Burn!
Lately, I’ve been reading from the Book of 1 Kings and was deeply grieved by what I saw in the spirit and on the pages.
The corruption of the leaders…
Their dedication to false deities…
Their defiance of Yahuah’s statutes…
And the devastating impact it had not only on them but on the entire Nation.
What was most troubling was the idolatry and rebellion of leaders, who stirred the anger of Yahuah, and the fact that judgment transcended into generations.
This wasn’t isolated disobedience. This was spiritual treason at the top, and the people paid literally the price.
As I read, I saw a dangerous pattern:
When those in leadership both POLITICAL and PRIESTLY departed from the covenant of Yahuah, false worship flooded the land.
Golden calves were erected.
Asherah poles were planted.
Prophets were persecuted.
And in their place came false prophets, man-made religion, and demonic infiltration.
Jeroboam made Israel to sin (1 Kings 14:16)
“Ahab did more to provoke The LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.” 1 Kings 16:33.
These men didn’t just sin privately, they built national altars to Baal, and the people were sacrificed upon them through drought, famine, war, captivity, and deception..
Today’s Baal Still Rules Through Compromised Leaders
What we see in 1 Kings is unfolding again before our eyes… It’s like History is repeating itself!
Many modern leaders, presidents, prime ministers, pastors, and prophets have traded The Fear of The LORD for political gain, personal wealth, and demonic partnerships.
They legalize what God calls abomination.
They silence the prophets and exalt false voices.
They open the gates to ideologies, legislation, and systems that enthrone Baal, Ashtoreth, and Mammon.
And Once Again, the People Burn
Children sacrificed (abortion, abuse, indoctrination)
Nations in turmoil (famine, war, economic collapse)
Churches asleep, feeding at Jezebel’s table
When Leaders Sin, Nations Suffer!
Let’s not forget what Yahuah told Israel:
“If you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods… you shall surely perish.” Deuteronomy 8:19.
Judgment is not unjust — it is consequence.
The golden calves may look like human rights laws.
The Asherah poles may be disguised as “progressive education.”
The Baal altars may be boardrooms and pulpits..
But the spirits behind them have not changed!
In this Season and Dispensation, I believe The Most High is raising up the Elijahs, Jehus, Josiahs, Micahs!
Elijahs to call down Fire on false Altars, Jehu to confront and tear down Jezebel, Josiahs to smash the high places, Micahs to prophesy truth — even if imprisoned!
This is not the time for neutrality.
This is the time to cry aloud, spare not, and call Nations back to covenant!
Shalom
