Your March Winds
A psalm to praise and sing to God aloud.
Your March Winds
March Winds have arrived
Bare tree branches stir alive
Full of growing buds—
Waiting for the right time:
To burst out
To sing
To announce
O soon Spring will be here!
March Winds have arrived
Sweeping clouds across the sky
The sun rises higher
Warming the earth:
With a change that is palpable
With a change that is like clockwork
With a change that is welcomed
O soon Spring will be here!
March Winds have arrived
Birds celebrate unendingly
With streams of jubilant notes
The time for soaring has begun:
To lift
To travel in unison
To reach new heights
O soon Spring will be here!
March Winds have arrived
Color returns in vibrant declarations
Tiny, mighty blooms spring forth
Miracles of Hope and Joy:
To proclaim Your Faithfulness
To display is Your Splendor
To fill the earth with Your Glory
O soon Spring will be here!
O LORD, blow, blow, blow!
Blow away the long Winter!
Blow away the cold days and nights!
Bring forth Your Chariot of Change!
Filled with life and life more abundantly
Filled with milk and honey overflowing
Filled with joy to lift one’s spirit
O soon Spring will be here!
O LORD,
YOU have turned my mourning into dancing;
YOU have taken off my sackcloth
And clothed me with joy,
So that my soul may praise You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
For Your March Winds have arrived
And my Life has been revived!
O LORD, blow, blow, blow!
O LORD, blow, blow, blow!
Blow Your Winds of Life across the land
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever!
O LORD, blow, blow, blow!
O LORD, blow, blow, blow!
Your March Winds have arrived!
Soon Spring will be here all aglow!
“Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen.
Thus says the Lord who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: “Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.” Isaiah 44:1-4. NKJV
“Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.” Zechariah 10:1 NKJV.
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Psalm 30:11-12 NKJV.
“He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3 NKJV.
“For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away!” Song of Solomon 2:11-13 NKJV.
