A Cry For A Lost Generation
“My heart is aching for this generation…”
This came out from my travail before my Beloved Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit…
LORD Help us to keep our gaze on You!
We are constantly bombarded with messages that challenge the very foundations of our Christianity and all that it entails.
We hear abusive and cursing language. This generation wishes death upon others without batting an eyelid.
Oh LORD! Has our love really grown this cold…and even disappeared?
Our hearts ache and groan upon hearing such merciless speech.
What hurts most is that we hear this speech from those who brazenly call themselves Christians.
LORD, have mercy upon us all
“for we know not what we do”…
or the consequences of what we speak…
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we suffer; our hearts ache for this generation that seems to have completely turned its gaze away from You.
We know that You warned us that all this would happen, but that does not lessen the pain we feel.
LORD, have mercy on this world. We invoke Your mercy upon us all.
Everywhere we look, we see devastating scenes.
Father, we stand on the gap for all those who have not yet understood that Salvation resides in You alone.
Work in the minds and hearts of this generation because it is completely adrift and prey to perverse and demonic desires.
LORD, You said that in the last times You would pour out Your Spirit on all flesh.
Oh Abba Father, we entreat You- do it now!
Give wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to those who must guide your children through these evil times.
LORD, we claim Your Mercy over us, for it keeps us safe under Your wings of love.
LORD, Forgive us, for too often we are overwhelmed by what we hear being broadcast far and wide regarding what is happening in the world, forgetting that our gaze must rise to You and not take its cue from this distorted reality.
Father, strengthen us.
Father, support us.
Father, cloak us.
Father, console us.
Father, comfort us.
Father, hear us.
Our hearts are turned to You and eagerly await Your command.
More of You.
More Mercy.
More Love.
More Forgiveness.
Open the eyes of those who, subjugated by the enemy, are content with a false love, a false goodness, and a false religion.
Awaken Your children
Bring back the prodigals
Bring back the fallen
Bring back the captives
We need them too, Father, for the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
Restore your ministers, your servants who for a time have lost sight of their calling.
Reaffirm them and make them flaming torches for You.
This is the time, Our Father,
for the Church to be united, and for worshipers in Spirit and Truth to come forth proclaiming Your Majesty and Your Love.
Restore everything, families, homes, marriages,
Give us all a taste of what awaits us above in heaven.
As in heaven, so on earth, Now, Holy Father.
In the wondrous name of your only-begotten Son who died for each of us we pray
Amen, Amen.
“UNTO YOU do I lift up my eyes, O You Who are enthroned in heaven.
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, and as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, until He has mercy and loving-kindness for us.
Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on and loving-kindness for us, for we are exceedingly satiated with contempt.
Our life is exceedingly filled with the scorning and scoffing of those who are at ease and with the contempt of the proud (irresponsible tyrants who disregard God’s law).” Psalm 123:1-4 AMPC.
