God of the Impossible
“There’s a reason for the colors in your story
There’s a picture though you cannot see it yet.
Every thread has a purpose and soon you’ll see your part in this tapestry …”
“I lift my eyes above the hills, though it’s not clear,
I know I will catch the view that heaven sees, and leap into His plans for me
I’ll find out where this story goes.”
Tapestry, David Soundtrack
The LORD has been speaking these lyrics to me for several days now, and as is usually the case, when The LORD begins to repeat what He’s telling me over and over, I haven’t been paying enough attention! (And by the way, this is a great soundtrack!)
This is an hour of incomprehensible significance and we, as God’s People, are being made ready to follow Him in taking roads whose very existence may be unknown to us.
It’s easy to take a familiar road, but exceedingly difficult to take a road that appears on no map, that perhaps has no road signs, and may not even be paved.
It is a road made passable only by The LORD God Himself, that perhaps no one has ever taken before.
We don’t know where the road comes out, or even if it comes out anywhere, and we can see only the road that is in front of us and, at times, only the road beneath us because of its twists and turns and the thick fog that often appears.
This is where trust comes in — complete, total, blind trust!
Our trust in Him Who has created the heavens and the earth is not in any way, at any time, misplaced.
For He IS The Beginning and the End, the One Who is at the beginning of the road and waiting for us at the end; He Who is with us on every inch of road, in every moment, every breath, every beautiful choice made to trust The One Who Is, Who WAS, and Who IS to come! (Revelation 1:8)
Nothing makes Him happier. (Hebrews 11:6)
As we go, choosing Him, choosing trust, our faith increases, our hearts grow stronger, our confidence in Him matures, even while we still cannot see!
This is one of the mysteries of our walk with Him!
We are stretched beyond comfort — often WAY beyond comfort — and then we find that in that stretching,
He has worked in us the impossible: The impossible faith, the impossible peace, the impossible Love, the impossible view of the accomplished impossible.
I don’t know how this can be, but be it is!
And so He IS – the impossible made possible by the One Who, though unjustly condemned, made the impossible choice to give it all for us!
Is this not the mystery of our Faith?
It makes no sense to the natural mind, but as we mature in knowing Him, we realize it makes perfect sense in the way He operates!
His Ways are not our ways and there is reason He operates as He does!
“‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,’ says The LORD.” Isaiah 55:8 NKJV.
He knows what He’s doing and He IS Perfect in all His ways!
He IS The God of the impossible!
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV.
“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Matthew 19:26 NKJV.
Scripture References: Jeremiah 32:17, Luke 18:27, Job 42:2, Ephesians 3:20, Matthew 17:20, Isaiah 43:19.
Pray and Declare:
LORD Jesus, we choose to trust You on the road unknown, and even when we cannot see what’s ahead, we choose each time to follow You in trust as You lead us through.
For You Are The Beginning and The End, and You are not only with us at the beginning and the end, but also everything in between!
We are Yours, and You are ours, and so we walk with You!
We bless You and love You!
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen!
Love,
