A Perverted Church! — 6 Comments

  1. Brother. There are still s lot of preachers preaching the unadulterated word of God.
I would know nothing amongst you, save for Jesus Christ and him crucified. There is no perverted gospel being preached here. Lets not enter into judgment. We have to be very carful. God bless

  2. Bravo, dear Chris! And you got this 15 years ago, not sure many of us saw it that plainly, so thank you again and again for your wonderful writing but most of all for your purity of heart to paint the picture without framing it in judgement. I often sense the heartbreak of the Lord as He looks down at what we have ‘made it’ today…meaning how we create our own interpretation and call it revelation and sometimes it has so much of us, we don’t see HIM. I have been so convicted lately that I just am not sharing enough scripture when I share the prophetic. Again, if it is heartbreaking to us, can we even imagine how the one who is the living gospel feels? You are a blessing to the body of Christ and to the King of Kings, my friend. In His love, Sandi

  3. Wow, what an excellent post from 15 years ago, which describes the church of today! Mostly teaching prosperity, prosperity, prosperity and most of the books in the Bible are never taught/preached. I have to read my Bible at home and rely on the holy Spirit to teach me.
I could go on and on about my thoughts/ concerns about todays church, but I’ll just say I’m praying for repentance and change. Judgement and change is coming…..praise God!

  4. This is very true of a number of Anglican Churches in Sydney, Australia, where newly appointed rectors ( particularly when 2 churches amalgamate) are telling parishioners who may state some disliking for the new rector’s new ideals, not to come back into their church where they have been worshipping in a church previously so devoted to praising our Lord Jesus, for 30 or more years. A heartbreaking situation – with so many churches this is occurring now!!

    • It’s the same here in Britain. It is indeed heartbreaking. The Anglicans, in general, have drifted far from their original, traditional base and the bishops are pushing it ever further away. I think the founding fathers of world Anglicanism would have a few questions of the current leadership!
