A Powerful Testimony of the Weight of His Presence at The LORD’s Table
I don’t usually ever share personal family details, but I felt such a powerful unction of The Spirit to share the following.
Today, my 22-year-old son, Caleb, shared a deeply personal experience with me that profoundly impacted my own heart.
Before sharing this, I asked Caleb for permission, as I believe his testimony has the power and potential to encourage others to approach The LORD’s Table with a renewed reverence and awe, and with an expectation of God’s Divine Intervention.
So yesterday, as Caleb prepared to take Communion in his own personal time with The LORD as he is often inclined to do, he dipped the small wafer into the Cup of Wine and he closed his eyes to Pray.
He shared that as he lingered before The LORD, just reflecting upon the price Jesus paid through His broken body and shed blood, as he stopped praying and opened his eyes to take the Communion, he suddenly noticed what appeared to be the outline of a face that had appeared upon the wine-soaked wafer.

He described how incredible it was in that moment to see what looked like a face which appeared in the deep Red of the Communion Wine, and as he looked at the face, it immediately reminded him of the bloodied Face of Christ.
He shared that the moment was unbelievably powerful, and as he looked at the Face, in that moment, Caleb said he became deeply aware of a tangible and weighty Presence of The LORD coming into the room.
The atmosphere around him seemed to change and he felt overwhelmed in his heart in a new and powerful way.
He told me that he was so deeply moved by what he saw and sensed, that he found himself reluctant to even eat the wafer, but before receiving Communion, he said he felt led to take a wee photograph so that he could remember the deep significance of the moment!
It was only later that he then showed me the photograph and he shared what had happened in his quiet time with The LORD!
When I looked at the image, I too could clearly see what appeared to be the outline of a face and It actually reminded me of the familiar profile often associated with the Shroud of Turin.
Now, whether others simply see an unusual pattern, or whether The LORD can use this moment to arrest our attention and draw us into a deeper awareness of Christ’s sacrifice, I leave to each person to prayerfully discern!
But this I know, Caleb’s encounter is a powerful and timely reminder that Communion is never ordinary.
The LORD’s Table is not a religious ritual to be hurried through.
Rather It is a Holy Invitation to remember The Lamb who was slain, to proclaim His death until He comes, and to Commune with the One who gave everything so that we might have Life and Life in full abundance!
I was reminded of how often have we become so familiar with Communion that we have lost the wonder of what it truly represents!
The Apostle Paul exhorts us…
“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew The LORD’s death till He come….” 1 Corinthians 11:26.
And again…
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” 1 Corinthians 10:16.
I share the above Testimony, simply as a reminder that there is an Invitation for all who need a fresh Touch from The LORD whether in Body, Soul or Spirit.
A powerful Encouragement to us all to slow down, to linger longer, to often and Intentionally behold the Power of The Cross, and to remember the immeasurable cost of our Redemption.
To approach His Table with Reverence, with eternal Gratitude and with a Radical Expectancy, and not to seek signs, but to seek him to seek a Face to Face Encounter with Him!
If Caleb’s Testimony encourages even one person to treasure The LORD’s Supper more deeply, to fix their eyes again upon Jesus, and to become more aware of His Presence, then it has served a beautiful purpose!
Friends, may we never lose the Wonder of The Cross, the Power of The Blood, or the sacred privilege of meeting with Christ at His Table!
Blessings to you all.

Wow that is wonderful tell Caleb thanks for sharing. I don’t take communion often cause I’ve often felt something wasn’t right. This has helped me to see ! It was just so fast & a little prayer & it should be so much more.
Amen
