Are You Confronting Darkness?
It’s funny how many professing Christians especially leaders are quick to tear down each other — but would never confront darkness!
They are silent on moral decay, witchcraft, abortion, corruption, sexual confusion, and spiritual perversion and such like, but vocal against other believers, often out of pride, competition, or doctrinal nitpicking.
The enemy knows that a divided Church is a defeated Church.
Satan is called “the accuser of the brethren” (Revelation 12:10), and many believers have become his mouthpieces, speaking slander, criticism, and biting one another instead of confronting the kingdom of darkness.
“If you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” Galatians 5:15.
“Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.” James 3:10.
Many leaders today are more concerned with preserving their platform, than proclaiming The Truth.
They fear being “canceled,” disliked, or losing followers — more than they fear displeasing The LORD.
The Bible says,
“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in The LORD is safe.” Proverbs 29:25.
“They loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” John 12:43.
Many cannot confront demons, witches, or societal darkness, because they lack the consecration and power to do so.
They have not cultivated The Secret Place, so when it comes time to war, they retreat in silence or offer powerless words.
“This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21.
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…” 2 Timothy 3:5.
“The sons of Sceva tried to cast out demons, but the demons said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?’” Acts 19:15.
You can’t confront a witch if you’re still compromised.
You can’t cast down strongholds if you haven’t torn down your own idols.
So they attack other believers, because that’s easier than standing before Pharaoh or casting down Jezebel!
Then there is the Religious Spirit masquerading as zeal. Some leaders attack each other under the guise of “contending for the faith”, when in reality it’s just legalism, pride, or spiritual elitism.
They call it “discernment” — but it’s often a “critical spirit” — with no love, no intercession, and no tears!
“Though I speak with the tongues of angels, but have not love, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1–2.
“Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.” 1 Corinthians 8:1.
Jesus rebuked demons boldly, but He wept over the city.
He called out sin, but with the invitation to repent and be healed.
Many today just want to throw stones, but they aren’t willing to pick up a Cross.
The silence of The Church on issues like witchcraft, abortion, gender confusion, trafficking, corruption, pornography, abuse, and idolatry is not neutrality — it is often complicity.
“Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; tell My people their transgression…” Isaiah 58:1.
“Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11.
The early Church confronted sorcerers, cast out demons, and overturned idols and it cost them something.
Many leaders today want the crown without the cross, the platform without persecution.
But a time of separation is here!
God is purging His house and separating the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares…
Shalom
