For me, I’m not talking about anyone else here, as I can only speak for myself!

For me, one recurring phrase that I have heard from both God and man this year is, “On earth as it is in Heaven…”

“Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10.

If you’ve heard it too then great — there’s at least two of us, maybe more.

The very idea of God’s Will being done here on earth as it is in heaven thrills me to my core and I love it when The Holy Spirit ministers that to me!

You see, however unlikely this seems from a worldly point of view, the thought of God’s Will being done here as well as there blows all my preconceived plans for the year out of the window.

I sweep those plans away quickly so as to make room for God’s Plans.

Sometimes He picks up what we’ve thrown down and places it back on the table — but sometimes He simply replaces those now discarded ideas with His own ideas — and that sets my every nerve tingling with excitement.

There’s still a lot wrong with me — attitudes, habits, lifestyle etc — but I am determined to lay it all on The Altar.

Give my ALL, literally all, not just bits and pieces, give everything to God to do with as He will in order for His Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

I recall an old chorus we used to sing –

“Who is on the Lords side? Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers, other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side? Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord’s side? Who for Him will go?
By Thy call of mercy, by Thy grace divine,
We are on The LORD’s side — Saviour, we are Thine!”
