Beloved Jesus — the Faithful — the Glorious — the Righteous — the True!
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; the punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 AMPC.
Beloved Jesus, the suffering you endured for our Salvation is a rare sign of your Faithfulness to each of us.
- You are the Just,
- You are the Faithful,
- You are the Holy,
- You are the Glorious,
- You are the Merciful,
- You are the True,
- You have shown us how to live, endure, honor, serve, and love, glorifying the name of our great Heavenly Father.
Prayer:
Father, forgive us, for we still have so much to learn from your only-begotten Son.
Even today, we ask You to search and inspect our hearts, and where You still see roots that prevent You from transforming our lives.
We say to You, Father, eradicate and prune where necessary, distance us from everything that apparently seems insignificant but causes us to neglect our duties to You.
LORD, heal old wounds, and any scars that have formed on these wounds, make them disappear because they become a reminder of the old hurts that we absolutely must forgive and forget in order to perform a worthy service to Your Holy Name.
More of You and less of ourselves…
We allow ourselves to be worked by Your hand, which is always gentle and loving and never overbearing or intrusive.
Today, LORD Jesus we “bury the hatchet” of any bitterness and raise the banner of Peace, Your Cross.
No one has ever shown us so much love, no one.
You alone have revealed the meaning of the word, “Love”.
Every whipping You endured was an act of faithfulness You pledged on our behalf.
LORD, millions of years would not be enough to repay You for all you have done for us.
We can offer You nothing but our YES to continue this pilgrimage of life, hand in hand with You.
You deserve that the entire world recognizes you as the Savior of our lives.
To You be praise, glory, and honor forever and ever.
Amen
“Kiss the Son, pay homage to Him in purity…” Psalm 2:12a
