Called, Appointed & Anointed!
The LORD promised us that in the last days He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, and right now everything in the natural is lining up with His Word.
It may appear to be total chaos and disorder, but actually everything is coming into order.
As I am writing this, I see a vast Army getting into position, equipped with divine purpose, unified in heart and fueled by The Holy Spirit.
This Army is made up of everyday people, young and old, rich and poor, from every tribe and tongue.
But who will The LORD choose to be His generals?
Who is He raising up to be leaders?
There is a story in the Book of 1 Samuel 16 about the calling of King David. David, was the son of Jesse, a young shepherd boy, who worshipped God in the fields.
The LORD instructed the Prophet Samuel to fill his horn with oil and go to anoint one of Jesse’s sons to be the next King.
So he went to Jesse’s house and had each one of Jesse’s sons pass before him.
The first son named Eliab passed before him. Samuel thought that surely he was the one to anoint because he considered his appearance.
“But The LORD said to him, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For The LORD does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but The LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7.
The next son Abinadab then passed before him. Abinadab was the father of Eleazar who was consecrated to guard the ark of the covenant in Abinadabs house after it was returned from Palistine captivity, (1 Samuel 7:1)
It remained in his house for twenty years. He then had another son named Shammah pass before him. Shammah was the warrior who is credited with having single-highhandedly defeated the Philistine soldiers at a lentil patch.
After each one of Jesse’s seven sons passed before Samuel, he told Jesse that The LORD has not chosen any of them.
Samuel then asked if he had any other sons, Jesse said yes the youngest son who is tending the sheep.
Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” (1 Samuel 16:11)
So David was brought in. David was ruddy with bright eyes and handsome features. When Samuel had seen David, The LORD said to Samuel, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” (1 Samuel 16:12)
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of The LORD came upon David from that day forward.
In the same way, Jesus is about to anoint many of you. Just as He passed David’s brothers up, He is also passing many others up to find the one who has a heart after Him.
The LORD is not looking for someone who is brilliant or renowned, but He is searching for the one who spends time with Him in the secret place.
He is looking for those who are tenacious in faith, radical for Jesus and are ready to transform the world with the glory of God.
The LORD says, “Just as I have called David as a young shepherd boy to be a King,
I have called you to be used in an extraordinary way. Just as I Anointed him and raised him up to be a mighty warrior, I also Anoint you to be strong and very courageous.
Don’t be fearful or discouraged because you will minister in My strength and anointing.
You will know the authority that I have placed on your life as I raise you up for the end time harvest.
As the world see’s your faults and failures, I see you as the mighty warrior that I have created you to be.
Don’t see yourself defeated, or stuck in the past because I have created you to be a giant slayer.
You will rise and defeat the powers of the enemy because you have been called to greatness. You have been created for My end-time Plan.
Just as David confronted and killed Goliath, so shall you stand against the giants and conquer them all.
Just as David killed the lion and the bear, you are well able to overcome every obstacle and adversity that comes against you.
I will train your hands for war and your fingers for battle, and have gifted you to do great exploits.
I have created each one of you for a specific purpose and placed My Anointing upon your lives.
You are uniquely designed. Don’t try to emulate the calling of someone else, but follow the example of their godly lives.
I have given you the personality and the temperament to fulfill your calling just as you are.
You are unique — because you have been set apart for such a time as this!
You have been chosen for a particular Assignment.
As you stay steadfast and uncompromising in your walk with Me, I will visit you and speak to you.
Just as I anointed David, you have also been Called, Appointed and Anointed!” says The LORD.
“But The LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For The LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but The LORD looks at the heart,” 1 Samuel 16:7.
“And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not [e]sit down till he comes here.” So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And The LORD said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!” Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of The LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah,” 1 Samuel 16:11-13.
