Cultivating Habitation: A Place of Abiding

“Will you make room in your heart for Me?” asks The LORD.
“Come closer so that you can truly see.”
His invitation in Revelations 4:1, “Come Up Here” and I will “show you…”
This is not simply an exchange of information, but an invitation into a “state of being”, and “way of life” in The LORD that affects how we know and understand life in the Spirit, and the lens through which we see.
This is a place of habitation with The LORD that is cultivated out of a lifestyle of constant communion with His heart.
It comes out of that daily place of abiding,
“Behold, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If your heart is open to hear my voice and you open the door within, I will come in to you and feast with you, and you will feast with me.” Revelation 3:20 TPT.
“Will you make room in your heart for Me?” asks The LORD.
What does that look like, sound like and feel like for each of us?
Daily, and moment by moment, how do I give my Lord Jesus precedence in my thoughts — in my heart — in my words — in my way?
My heart has heard You say, “Come and speak with Me — oh My People!” and my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming, for your presence is my vital need”… (based on Psalm 27:8)
Early Morning Worship
I was caught in this beautiful place of worship and prayer after a sweet morning session in the Word with my hubby.
As we completed, I had lifted up praise and prayer over us both, thanking Father for His loving and kind intentions towards us that were our daily portion from His heart…
I felt Father’s Love over us like a canopy of soft, warm light.
I then turned my heart towards Jesus, as “King of righteousness” and saw in my vision sight, Jesus come swiftly towards us, crowned, carrying His sceptre, and robed in purest white… His eyes gleaming like diamonds, his fierce smile over us…
I asked Him to rule in our hearts and minds as Prince of Peace…
Then I asked Beloved Holy Spirit to enfold us deeply into His heart, desiring that we would be immediately responsive to His wise and loving counsel as He guided and guarded our hearts and thoughts throughout the day.
Personal Encounter
This prepared me for a wonderful personal encounter with The LORD in my worship and intercession time.
The LORD took me into a vision where He was taking my “heart” to many “hearts” in prayer.
I was celebrating with The LORD Jesus these “precious treasures”, and their unique design and calling in His Kingdom.
I could see Heavenly gifts and spiritual deposits being given to them.
I saw in the spirit, “keepers of regions”; “guardians of family”; “bakers of bread”; “stewards of time” and My heart immediately leapt, and I asked The LORD if I might be “a keeper; a guardian of His heart.”
He then took me into the spirit into a glimpse of this deep space that seemed that it was made out of the galaxies — full of incandescent colors and sparkling starry light.
I felt that He was showing me the chambers of His heart.
Prepare for your King
Thanksgiving, worship and praise prepare us to meet with our King.
This posture of tender adoration is the key to His heart.
He longs to hear your voice in worship!
Sing a new song to Him. Become childlike in your devotion — for it is with the heart that we receive the tangible affection and revelation from His heart.
“Let me see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship
and lovely your voice in prayer.” Song of Solomon 2:14b TPT.
Prepare yourself for His invitation
- Worship
- Communion
- Word
Prepare the time and place
Prepare both the place and time to meet with your Beloved LORD.
Select a time and a place where you can linger long enough to connect with His Heart.
Prepare your heart to be ready to Commune deeply
Recognize what you need in order to transition your thoughts from the cares of this natural life and to come and be “present” before your King.
Prepare your “heavenly garments”… (Isaiah 61 talks about these garments.)
Prepare Communion with The LORD
Take these sacred elements with deepest reverence and awe, asking Father God to impart to you the very life and blood of The LORD Jesus Christ.
“It is My Father Who gives you the true heavenly Bread.
For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.
Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more.” John 6:32b,33;35 AMPC.
Dip the “Bread into the Wine.”
Using this as a scriptural analogy: the Bread as the Word; Wine as “revelation”.
Prepare the Word
After you have connected your heart and spirit to The LORD in devotion, come to “the Table” that The LORD Jesus has set for you in the Word.
Bring your journal. Invite The Holy Spirit to lead you to the Living Word from the scriptures that He is wanting to enfold to your heart and renew your mind.
Allow the Word be fresh within you, and your heart, mind and spirit alive with responsiveness to the Holy Spirit within you.

Intentionality
Pray for intentionality in your daily investment of time, asking for a keen awareness of the distractions that derail your life.
Learn to cultivate “the lifestyle” that brings forth your calling and highest purpose in Christ.
“There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 NLT.
We’ve perhaps heard this play on words before: “Intimacy : Into Me -you see”
This concept is true in the deepest sense… for it is only in that place of intimacy with The LORD that we truly “see” and understand the difference between with the fleeting things of this earth, and a life cultivated upon the eternal values of Love,Truth and Belonging.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8 NKJV.
“Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
At that time [when that day comes] you will know [for yourselves] that I am in My Father, and you [are] in Me, and I [am] in you.
The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]” John 14:19-21 AMPC.
“But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God — [that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].” 1 Corinthians 2:7 AMPC.

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom…. Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning” Luke 12:32;35.

Beautiful! Thank you! Praying for that keen awareness of the distractions that derail. ❤️
