Dealing With People of Different Beliefs
Watch and Listen Online
I used to work at a sporting goods store.
One day a Jew wanted to talk to me about a treadmill. A Muslim woman wanted to talk to me about a basketball — and a Roman Catholic man asked me a question about running shorts.
Three different people, three different beliefs.
Whether it is short term or long term relationships — How do you deal with people of different beliefs?
The LORD gave me three things for us to know.
1. Do not attack
Going to someone with a different belief and telling them they are wrong is not the best thing to do. Do it, only if Jesus tells you to do it.
Boston Massachusetts held a convention for satanists two years ago. People were lined up on the sidewalk waiting to get inside and many people wore Baphomet shirts or had the satanic star tattooed on their body.
Some even wore goat horns on their head. A Christian man went and yelled “Repent! Jesus is the only way” in a megaphone as he snuck himself into the convention. He was then quickly escorted out by security.
If that man was sent by Jesus — great. One person, or more, could have had their eyes opened.
But if that man was not sent by Jesus — then it shows Christian’s as being divisive.
In short, do not attack others on their beliefs unless Jesus gives you the green light.
2. Defend your beliefs
I went to a bar once there were two Roman Catholic men were sitting across from me on this old wooden table, and they were telling me how great it was to be Roman Catholic.
For example, they said that everyone is in unity — everyone knows the same beliefs, everyone here’s the same message every Sunday, and every mass is nearly identical.
Although The Bible encourages unity of the Faith, I had to defend my beliefs. I do not believe in confessing sins to a priests — or praying to Mary.
Be strong in your beliefs.
Jesus said to me, “Do not allow anyone to change your beliefs. Take it seriously.”
3. Speak forth light
At times Jesus will give you the green light to speak up and say something to someone to correct them or simply speak truth to them. But whatever you say — do so in love.
Here is what Jesus told me for when you do speak and people do not want to listen. He said: “You have to allow them to walk away.”
You will not win every battle.
Sometimes you have to allow people to stand outside the boat as the door is shut and the water rises.
Lastly, Jesus says: “There comes a time My People where you have to be vicious in your beliefs.
Do not allow others to attack your beliefs to the point you question what I have told you.
Stand firm.
Stand firm in your beliefs and keep seeking Truth.
Allow Me to speak through you for I want to turn those people towards Me.
Be alert. Be wise.
I will tell you who to speak to, who to correct, and who to turn away from. But all in all — do everything in Love.
I will help you deal with those who are difficult and believe much different than you.
Do not worry for your hands are in my hands and I will work together with you.
Stand firm for I AM with you always!”

It’s easier to lead them to repentance first, and testify more on Jesus’s love, saying like, Jesus loves you, Jesus died for you, He has a plan for your life, He has made a way for you, and wants to be with you forever. He knew you before you were born, He has prepared a place for you and is coming back for you one day soon, etc. Jesus is love. no one loves you more. He’s the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the way maker and miracle maker, and knows your every thought, and so on, will help to convict them and lead them to Christ in due time. Many don’t know who He really is. All who call on Him will be saved. This is an easier approach and is glorifying Him at the same time. Takes the center of attention off them and on to Jesus.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Travis,
I know I’ve said this before, but I see the Lord using your writing to reach people, many, specifically because you do not over-elaborate or get too wordy. You are kind of like the prescription on a bottle of medicine: take with water, rest, repeat as necessary. You give a ordered approach – it’s simple, short, doable. THIS is what will stick to the ribs. This will get down in their spirit-man.
Almost like a pamphlet or a tract, the brevity and truth of the words the Lord gives you will bare fruit. It’s precise. There’s life in it.
The cyber-digital age we live in has everyone on overload. We’re bombarded by devices, media 24/7. Even believers are on info-overload. It’s draining.
Truths conveyed simply- are profound. They’re like idioms; people remember them, repeat them. I pray the Lord blesses your ministry as I believe it will be healing for many. God bless you.
