Delivered! After Praying in Tongues! — 3 Comments

  1. I consider the author of this article as a godly man and there is no doubt that many speaks in ‘unknown’ tongues but there is still no single verse found in the Bible which says that a not understandable language shall be given to the believer nor is there any single verse in the Bible which describes anything else than a fully understandable speech in a well known language which everyone understands and praise God when they hear the disciples speak it.

    “After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
    Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
    And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen Matt.6:9-13

    “for if I pray in an (unknown) tongue, my (my own spirit, not the Holy spirit) spirit doth pray, and my understanding is (spiritually) unfruitful 1Cor.14:14

    “And the fruit of the Spirit is, Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, Gal 5:22

    “in an assembly I wish to speak five words through my understanding, that others also I may instruct, rather than myriads of words in an [unknown] tongue.1Cor.14:19

    “in the understanding become ye perfect 1Cor.14:20

    It is obvious that the unknown tounge was ‘well known’ as a false sign and therefore Paul says that that kind of speech is among the unbelievers. The unbelievers (= the disobedient) are those who not hear God because only the spirit of prophecy is the true spirit of Jesus/Holy spirit ;
    “Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe (the obedient), but to them that believe not(the disobedient) 1Cor.14:22

    “and the prophesy is not for the unbelieving (the disobedient because they d not hear and obey God), but for the believing (the obedient who hears and obeys God), 1Cor.14:22

    “for the testimony (in humans renewed mind )of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (speaking understandable what God says) Rev. 19:10

    “he who is of God, the sayings of God he doth hear John 8:47

    I have written these posts about the tounge speaking from a burden on my heart because of that for several years I also thought the tounge speaking was a ‘sign of the baptizm in the Holy Spirit’, because that was what ‘they’ said and I began to wonder why I never saw any fruit of the spirit but a lot of pride and selfishness.
    And actually ‘self’ is exactly what the obedient believer shall crucify not build up therefore is the tounge speaking NOT a sign of the spirit of Jesus/Holy Spirit but a sign of disobedience;

    “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth him(self)1Cor.14:4
