JESUS asks: “Do you believe that I AM able to do this?”

One of the things that please GOD the most is to believe Him and His Ability. (Another one is to obey Him.)

“But without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to GOD must believe that He is, and that He is A Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6.

Two blind men diligently sought GOD for their healing: to have their eyes opened by Him.

When attending to them, JESUS sought to first establish if they believed in His Ability to open their eyes…

“Do you believe that I AM able to do this?” He asked them plainly.

Do you know why?

It is only by their Faith in His Ability that His Power will flow out of Him to heal them (just as happened with the woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years).

And indeed, after responding “Yes, LORD”, according to their Faith, their eyes were opened when JESUS touched them (their eyes).

Matthew captured the narrative so succinctly:

“When JESUS departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have Mercy on us!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And JESUS said to them, “Do you believe that I AM able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, LORD.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your Faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened…” Matthew 9:27-30.

It happened to them just as they believed: That JESUS was able to do it.

Faith in GOD is our most precious possession. By Faith we have GOD and all the things of GOD, (all His Riches!).

By Faith we can get ANYTHING from GOD according to His Will, (1 John 5:14 -15; Matthew 7:7-11).

What do you need JESUS to do for you?

Believe that He is able to do it, and then fervently relentlessly ask Him to do it.

And He surely will.

As long as led by THE HOLY SPIRIT, keep on asking and expecting it until He does it.

It is possible. Only believe!

As THE LORD has said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23).

“Now to Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to The Power that works in us, to Him be Glory in The Church by CHRIST JESUS to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.

Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
