Fight With The Cross: Against, Against, Against, Against!
Fight with The Cross, The Four Dimensions of The Cross (The Fullness of The Cross) against, against, against, against the four ranks of the enemy.
Look at it, understand and deploy The Divine fire power. In Ephesians 3:18, the apostle, by The Holy Spirit, first mentioned our need to comprehend The Four Dimensions of The Cross: “The width and length and depth and height” of The Death and The Resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ.
Then he followed that teaching with the Ephesians 6:12 revelation of the four enemy divisions and ranks we are fighting with. This is the most important and serious Divine military study and strategy in all of Scripture.
We are first told our ALL-POWERFUL Divine military power (The Cross of Jesus), and then we are taught the divisions and ranks of the enemy.
In other words, we must know our power, our enemy, our warfare strategy, and fight! Yes, fight against, against, against, against them all, overpowering the enemy.
In language-use, it would have been enough to just state the word “against” once and say:
We do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
But The Holy Spirit made the IMPORTANT point of stating “against” four times in that Scripture (Ephesians 6:12) – thus indicating and engaging The Four Dimensions of The Cross against, against, against, against the four divisions and ranks of the enemy we are fighting with.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 emphasis added.
Spiritual warfare therefore, is all about comprehension and deployment of The Dimensions of The Cross with which we fight the divisions of the enemy.
The same apostle, with this ALL-IMPORTANT Divine military comprehension of The Cross, then told the “foolish Galatians” (Galatians 3:1), that our boast, our confidence, should be in nothing but The Cross!
“But God forbid that I should boast except in The Cross of our LORD Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world,” Galatians 6:14.
But what does it mean to boast in The Cross, to fight with The Cross? It means overcome the devil with The Blood of Jesus and The Word of Christ, (Revelation 12:9).
Use The Blood of Jesus Christ against him, declare The Word of The Cross against him. Proclaim The LORD’s Death for your deliverance, but for the destruction of the enemy.
Satan is reduced to NOTHING by The Cross of Jesus when deployed against him.
Brethren, let’s go forth with The Cross of Jesus, let’s fight with The Cross!
It is important to know and note however, that, in this warfare, we sometimes suffer setbacks: hard-pressed on every side, perplexed, persecuted, struck down.
But we don’t stay down.
“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again…” Proverbs 24:16.
As written,
“When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of The LORD will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19.
The enemy is coming against us more and more furiously these days in various ways and various things.
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us,” Romans 8:37.
We are hupernikao — the Greek word for “more than conquerors”.
A feature on it in New Spirit Filled Life Bible notes that,
“The word [hupernikao] describes one who is super victorious, who wins more than an ordinary victory, but who is overpowering in achieving abundant victory. This is not the language of conceit, but of confidence. Christ’s love conquered death, and because of His love, we are hupernikao.“
Hallelu-YAH!
When you put on the whole amour of God, when you engage and deploy the weapons of our warfare, the devil will fear you and flee from you in terror.
Strike and destroy the devil with The Blood of Jesus,
Strike and destroy the devil with The POWER of Christ, His Eternal POWER and Godhead,
Strike and destroy the devil with The Fire of God from The Altar before The Throne of God,
Strike and destroy the devil with The Great Light of Jesus Christ.
Deal VIOLENTLY with the devil! As our LORD Jesus Christ said, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take It by force.” Matthew 11:12.
No matter what comes against you, you must keep moving forward with The Cross. Don’t stop, go ahead! (See a previous HKP Word “Go Ahead — Don’t Stop Moving Forward!“).
The Holy Spirit also expressly addressed this aspect of our warfare: that we are protected and preserved ONLY in The Cross of Jesus. The same apostle (Paul), wrote:
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body The Dying of The LORD Jesus [The Cross! The Blood of His Cross], that The Life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10.
FOUR is in play here again.
Right within our stronghold and domain of The Cross, we are hard-pressed on every side (every side of The Four Dimensions of The Cross: “the width and length and depth and height”) YET not crushed; we are perplexed, BUT not in despair; persecuted, BUT not forsaken; struck down, BUT not destroyed.
The enemy comes against us in FOUR dimensions: making us hard-pressed on every side, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down by him.
But, being in The Cross and carrying The Cross in us, we are not crushed, we are not in despair, we are not forsaken, we are not destroyed, because we are “always carrying about in the body The Dying [The Cross] of The LORD Jesus, that The Life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”
If you feel crushed, in despair, forsaken, destroyed, you are not utilising The Cross to your full advantage in Christ.
Fight with The Cross, hide in The Cross! Fight with The Blood, hide in The Blood! You cannot make it VICTORIOUSLY any other way.
How can you be crushed when we are preserved by The LORD?
How can you be in despair when we have beauty for ashes and The Oil of Joy for mourning?
How can you be forsaken when The LORD Himself said I will never leave you nor forsake you?
And how can you be destroyed when God says you should not perish?
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6.
You must know the amazing promises and provisions of God and obtain them through FERVENT prayers (petitions, supplications, warfare and declarations).
Always remember that “…The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16 NLT).
By The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Faith, believe and pray with GREAT POWER for WONDERFUL results.
Rise up and pray! Pray by The Holy Spirit for victory; from VICTORY unto VICTORY!
We all go through things and are going through things. But each one must fight and “endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ,” 2 Timothy 2:3.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith,” 1 John 5:4.
“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin [does not sin wilfully]; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” 1 John 5:18.
“Our God is greater than all gods,” 2 Chronicles 2:5.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world,” 1 John 4:4.
Shall a mouse make an elephant afraid? Shall a mouse terrify a lion?
In Christ Jesus and through Christ Jesus, you are far above the devil. You have power and authority over him, (Ephesians 2:6;1:21; Luke 9:1;10:19).
Why do you take nonsense from the devil instead of fighting and tormenting him?
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you,” James 4:7.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8 – 9.
Fight the devil with The Cross of Jesus, overcome him by The Blood of The Lamb and by The Word of The Cross.
Proclaim The LORD’s Death to torment and destroy the devil. Torment him by telling him about his death certificate: that it is certified, certain and settled in Revelation 20:10,14.
Brethren, fight with The Cross, hide in The Cross and PRAISE The LORD Jesus Christ for The Blood of His Cross! Hallelu-YAH!
Let’s sing The Cross to The Glory and Praise of The LORD. Let’s sing The Cross for our deliverance. Let’s sing The Cross to destroy the devil and his angels.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1). As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
