Flood Waters Coming as Fire!
“Flood Waters coming as Fire!” I read this phrase this morning just before we took to the road for a break.
The LORD said to make a note of it and to come back later. So here we are, and the first thing that strikes me is that I remember thinking, “That’s a bit of a paradox — Water coming as Fire! What’s all that about?”
Water and Fire are mutually exclusive — but I had been writing and reading about the Latter Day Rains that are about to flood our lands.
I read a comment about Floods and Fires and the phrase “Flood Waters coming as Fire!” stuck in my mind.
Then The LORD popped this into my mind — perhaps the Flood Waters aren’t going to come in the way we expect them?
Or, perhaps the Fire (of God) will come unexpectedly — like a Flash Flood . . . in a sudden rush out of nowhere?
This latter thought is, I believe, the thought that God would have us focus our expectations upon!
The Fire of God, His Presence, flooding into our meetings, is what we should be expecting.
There is great precedence for it — Elijah at Carmel when His presence burnt up the offering and even the water around it.
Ezra reading the Torah to Israel and many being overcome by His Presence.
Then came the Day of Pentecost — do I need to go on?
I believe The LORD quickened these to me for you as an example of what’s coming to the Worldwide Church Community of Saints as a prelude to Revival.
I see His presence flooding our meetings as Holy Spirit Fire falls upon an expectant and willing people raise their arms in praise and worship, just as the musicians and singers did at Jericho!
So there is also this which The LORD showed me as I responded to another post.
I wrote this, “I believe Latter Day Rain is all around us just waiting for us to call it down!”
That’s a God-flood just waiting to happen! It’s also a clue for us to lay hold of the ‘Flood’ and ‘Fire’ that The LORD is laying all around us just waiting for us to first wake up and realise it’s there; and second to act in obedience to His Call!
We cannot wait for God to do everything for us!
If He shows us these things, it’s for us to DO something rather than to sit around waiting for Him to do something more!
Well — why are you waiting?
DO SOMETHING with what you’ve been given!
This is another Red Sea moment — when God replied to Moses cry for help.
“The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? . . . . . But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand . . . .” Exodus 14:15-16.
In other words — Use what’s in your hand!

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.

Amen! Yesterday as I was praying, I realized at was standing at a Red Sea moment and determined that I must go forward. Thank you for sharing .
