For the Australian Body of Christ
This message for the Australian Body of Christ, but if you wish to join us you are very welcome.
Count of the Challenges Facing Australia
There are seven distinct challenges identified recently across different sources, spanning economic, political, social, spiritual, and environmental areas.
Through our Prayer Strategy, our role is to pray into these challenges.
If you would like to join us, we will gather this Sunday afternoon, the 22nd, to pray together on Zoom at 5:00 pm Sydney time.
The Zoom link will be provided once you accept this invitation.
- Windfall profits from gas companies during global conflict
Gas giants are making unusually high profits due to the Middle East war and global energy volatility.
- Political conflict over a proposed windfall gains tax
Government considering a 25–50% levy; industry strongly resisting, warning it could harm the economy and energy security.
- Rising energy prices due to the Iran/Middle East war
Oil and gas prices have spiked, affecting transport, household costs, and inflation.
- Pressure on the government to protect households from cost‑of‑living increases
Energy price surges are hitting families quickly; policymakers are scrambling for tools to shield Australians.
- Vulnerability of Australia’s energy market to global shocks
Australia’s unique position as both exporter and domestic consumer creates structural tension in crises.
- Fuel reserve releases to support regional communities
Over 500 million liters of petrol and diesel have been released to stabilise supply — a sign of stress in the system.
- Broader economic uncertainty linked to war and global instability
The government is modelling new levies and tax reforms to manage wartime volatility.
How to Pray Over These Challenges
-
Pray for Wisdom for Leaders
- That decision‑makers would see clearly, not reactively.
- That economic policy would protect the vulnerable without destabilising the future.
Prayer:
God of wisdom, steady the minds of those who lead Australia. Give them clarity beyond politics, courage beyond pressure, and compassion beyond ideology.
-
Pray for Justice in Economic Decisions
- That “wartime profits” would not become exploitation.
- That companies would act ethically, not opportunistically.
Prayer:
God of justice, let fairness guide our economic life. Restrain greed, elevate integrity, and let decisions be made for the good of the whole community.
-
Pray for Households Under Pressure
- Rising energy costs hit the poor first.
- Many families feel the squeeze long before policymakers do.
Prayer:
God of mercy, be close to every household feeling the weight of rising costs. Provide relief, resilience, and unexpected provision.
-
Pray for Peace in Global Conflicts
Because the war in the Middle East is the root of many of these pressures.
Prayer:
God of peace, speak into the conflicts that ripple across the world. Bring de‑escalation, protection of civilians, and wisdom to global leaders.
-
Pray for Australia’s Long‑Term Stability
- Energy security
- Economic resilience
- Social cohesion
- Environmental stewardship
Prayer:
God of the long view, anchor Australia in stability. Strengthen our systems, protect our resources, and guide us toward a future marked by justice, peace, and shared flourishing.
Also we will be praying for Israel, Iran and Lebanon

Überall wo Australien genannt wurde in diesem Bericht, könnt man auch Deutschland einfügen.
Mir bleibt nur zu sagen:” Gott erbarme Dich aller Nationen und Völker” in Liebe Amen.
[ HKP : “Wherever Australia was mentioned in this report, Germany could also be inserted. All that remains for me to say is: “God have mercy on all nations and peoples” in love Amen.” ]
