Have you received the Baptism with The Holy Spirit?

As I write I am reminded that: One must receive The Holy Spirit power gift in order to get have power.

God is not going to force this upon the Christian. Jesus said they must yet receive it. He indicated it was something each believer needed following his Salvation.

So, have you received it, yet, now that you are saved?

Do you have and possess this “Power Gift”?

Even as it was in the early days, before Jesus left to return to his heavenly home, Jesus Himself told those who were His that they must wait and not leave Jerusalem, to go out to preach The Gospel, and if they would be obedient to wait, they would receive power to witness.

The fact is, these people were saved and had even received The Holy Spirit which had been promised, but there was something more that they would need, in order to have power to witness and preach and walk in victory.

“and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of The Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy ghost not many days hence.” Acts 1:4-5

I am reminded now that when The Holy Spirit was given the first time in the upper room, that everyone at one time was Baptised with The Holy Spirit — The Holy Spirit came upon them and they were greatly empowered with The Holy Spirit.

In Acts 2, the early Church — only those who waited in obedience to The LORD’s Command — suddenly experienced a mighty rushing wind of power, and then………. they “All” at one time spoke in Tongues!

That is right! They spoke in Tongues and we know now that this speaking in Tongues is for everyone baptised with The Holy Spirit, and it was the “Evidence” — the initial proof — that hey were baptised with power.

If you haven’t talked in Tongues, is it because you have not received the baptism with The Holy Spirit?

I believe the answer is yes.

If you are not speaking in Tongues, you need to receive the baptism with The Holy Spirit.

I will now let this rest here, for I want to know if you know that you have the baptism with The Holy Spirit?

If you do not then you do not have the power to be witness.

If you do not, then you do not speak in Tongues?

“and when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with The Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4
