Oh LORD, it is in the wilderness,
That I come to know Your Goodness.
It is in the trying of my Faith,
That I learn the wonders of Your Mercy and Grace.

When turmoil and strife attack my soul,
I rejoice for the adventure before me unfolds.
On the journey to the Higher ground of YOUR Life,
Brings me victory over the turmoil and strife.

The enemy laughs when he shoots his fiery darts,
But in truth, he only drives me to YOU never to depart.
YOUR Love is the trump card that Heaven does play,
It carries me through to victory day after day.

It is in the battle where I learn great truths,
That my soul has thirsted for in deepest pursuit.
It is Your Power not mine working in me,
That sets me absolutely free.

Refresh me in battle as I swing Your Sword,
All pretense has fallen, You are truly my LORD.
Of all that I am, I do, and I say,
For in surrender to You I’m victorious in every way.
