It’s Friday!
It’s Friday! Jesus is praying, Peter is sleeping, Judas is betraying, Pilate is struggling, the crowds are conspiring and Mary is crying, but what they don’t know is that Sunday is coming!
The Romans beat Him and robed Him in scarlet. They crowned him with thorns and placed that heavy cross for Him to bear, but what they don’t know is that Sunday is coming!
See Him walking to Calvary with blood dripping.
His body stumbling, His Spirit so burdened.
It seemed the world was winning and evil was grinning, oh but what they failed to know is that Sunday was coming.
They nailed His hands and feet to that old rugged tree.
He hangs there feeling forsaken.
It looks as though death and Satan is laughing.
Hope seemed lost!
The sky grew dark and my King yielded His Spirit!
Oh but what everyone there didn’t know is it was not over, Sunday was coming!
He was buried and a stone rolled into place.
But Let me tell you it’s only Friday, and Sunday is coming……!
From a Friday filled with darkness, is coming a Sunday of total victory!
