Man, Lion, Ox, and Eagle
Keep your focus on God!
I was just sitting, enjoying my weekend sports reporting on the internet, when The LORD, as He so often does, whispered quietly in my ear, “Man, Lion, Ox, and Eagle!”
First mentioned in Ezekiel 1:10, then in Ezekiel 10:14 which is where an oblique reference is made to Ezekiel 47 the east gate river of life.
To quote,
“Then the glory of The LORD moved out from the entrance of the Temple and hovered above the cherubim. And as I watched, the cherubim flew with their wheels to the east gate of The LORD’s Temple. And the glory of the God of Israel hovered above them.” Ezekiel 10:18-19.
Finally, Revelation 4:7 where traditionally the four faces represent the ‘four gospels’.
“The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.“ Revelation 4:7.
Google, fount of all knowledge, tells me In Revelation, the four living creatures (lion, ox, man, and eagle) symbolise the four Gospels and aspects of Christ’s nature: the lion represents royalty (Matthew), the ox represents service (Mark), the man represents humanity (Luke), and the eagle represents divine vision (John).
This is when The LORD began to pour new ‘Revelation’ upon me and ask questions.
“Could these four creatures represent mankind, Isreal, UK, and USA?”
Now, I’ve never been a great one for accepting traditional interpretations or meanings of anything.
I like to try, at least, to think outside the box, so the question intrigued me more than surprised me.
My heart seemed to skip a beat, and a wee surge of excitement rose within me.
If the four creatures represent mankind (man), Israel (Ox), UK (Lion), and USA (Eagle), then this marks a significant diversion from traditional thinking.
Have we just accepted the wisdom and tradition of our forefathers without much question?
Suddenly, The LORD spoke in a voice of many waters — like the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
“Despite what you see; despite what you hear, the Lion and the Eagle will not be separated.
The Ox shall stand against all the odds — and Man will once again repent and turn from his foolish and wicked ways.
Even so, great turmoil and angst shall harass your path, especially for the Ox and the Lion.
Have they not been inexorably linked since the Balfour Declaration* a hundred years ago. Are they not seen as the number one target by those who would destroy both. Yet they are tied together as surely as Christ is to the Church — all are His and He will not suffer the loss of any of them — no matter the outward appearances!”, says The LORD of Hosts, “Trust Me and hold fast to your faith in Me!”
After this, The LORD turned me towards Ezekiel 10 and 47, the references to the east side of the temple.
The River of Life flowed, and still flows from there — a trickle at first, increasing in speed and volume into a mighty river flowing east.
“Why flowing East?” asks The LORD.
“Because I have always planned to pour out My Spirit on The East — Middle East, and Far East!
And the time is approaching for that to happen. You shall see it.
You shall be witness to it — as it happens — in real time.
The ‘Man in White’, that you have heard whispered tales about, shall appear to the peoples I AM courting, wooing, and He shall lead millions of them to The LORD.
Lands and Nations where today mention of My Presence and My Name is a crime shall turn to Me!
There shall be uproar and confusion.
BUT . . . . whole regions and towns and villages shall see Me and hear Me, and they shall know that ‘I AM THAT I AM’!” says The LORD.
*Balfour Declaration – The Balfour Declaration was a public statement written by Arthur Balfour issued by the British government in 1917 in support of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, then an Ottoman region. (Wiki)
The original 2 November 1917 letter from Balfour to Rothschild; the declaration reads:
“His Majesty’s Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”

The man in white reminds me of a dream I had about ten years ago. An outpouring of the Holy Spirit happens after some war type event (in USA). People dressed in all white were dispersing over the whole earth.
