Meditations Of My Heart
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Meditations Of My Heart
From my heart let there be a song
On the meditation of Your Love
From my heart I ponder the ways
You have shown Your Love towards me
O LORD, I cannot count them all truly:
All the blessings, all the tears, all the goodness
You have shown me Your Love
By way of Your Faithfulness
When I lay my head down at night
My heart moves closer to You in prayer
I am an open book, my heart laid bare-
You know my inner most thoughts
My life was set before I was born
My steps were ordered before I knew You
Hear every cry I utter
Lead me, O LORD, make Your Way straight before my face
From my heart let there be a song
On the meditation of Your Mercy
From my heart I ponder the ways
You have shown Your Mercy towards me
O LORD, The Rock of Ages,
You have waited and waited
For the day I turned my face to You
You have shown me Your Mercy
By way of Your Faithfulness
From my heart let there be a song
On the meditation of Your Protection
From my heart I ponder the ways
I have dwelt in Your Safety
O LORD, I know you hear me when I call
Lift up the Light of Your Countenance upon me
You have put gladness in my heart surely
More than what I could ever ask or dream
You have shown me Your Protection
By way of Your Faithfulness
From my heart let there be a song
On the meditation of all You are
From my heart I ponder Your Greatness
You put my adversaries to shame
You crush falsehood and worthlessness
You show Your Goodness
And I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety
You have shown me Your Love
By way of Your Faithfulness
From my heart there will always be a song
On the meditation of Your Love
Yes, there will always be a song
On the meditation of Your Love…
O LORD, O LORD
You have shown me Your Love
By way of Your Faithfulness
Yes, there will always be a song
On the meditation of Your Love…

“Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face…But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:8,11-12.
