Ministry Competition

Lately, I’ve been seeing so much competition among people who are in Ministry, always trying to be the biggest voice, always wanting to be associated with the ‘popular ones’, have the biggest platform, mailing list and so on and so on.
But, let me ask you this:
- Do you get up every morning thanking God for a new day and asking Him how to be a blessing to someone along your way?
- Do you ‘stop for the one’?
- What about the person at the grocery store?
My reading this morning was in Micah and it’s always a good reminder of what God does require of us and it’s not bright lights and big platforms.
All that is good if you do it with a good heart and motive because people have to hear The Word.
But, I love how Micah states God’s requirement:
“He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
~ Linda G Bennett
Linda G Bennett came to The LORD in 1982 and has seen much Deliverance and Healing of her own heart since, as God gave her a passion to see others set free and forgiven from their pasts.
With husband Chris, they operate The Upper Room Encounter, a Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance Ministry and a new Mandate The LORD gave, to plant stakes and reclaim territory from the enemy, and to open old Wells of Revival which He shows them.

Very brief but explicit Ma’am. Thanks so much for sharing. Many forget that the source is our God, our Lord & saviour Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit. The essence of the ministry is for edification of the body of Christ & not for personal gain.
I pray God humble our hearts to shun pride & unhealthy ministry competition in Jesus name.
