Perishing for Lack of Knowledge — 7 Comments

  1. I believe these types of posts would be more helpful with specific examples.  Because everyone will read a post that generally talks about how deception is rampant, and immediately fit that into their own worldview and ascribe the deception to those with a differing worldview.

    • See who obeys God’s word. Who enjoins to care for those who can’t care for themselves. The following protected groups show up in the old Testament 19 times.
      19. Malachi 3:5

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

      Context & meaning:
Malachi warns that God Himself will appear as judge against covenant-breakers. The oppression of the sojourner and neglect of the weak are listed beside sorcery and adultery—moral offenses equally detestable to God. The phrase “turn aside the sojourner from his right” means denying him justice in court or community life.

      ✧ Biblical Interpretation of “Sojourner”

Hebrew term: גֵּר (gēr) — often translated sojourner, alien, stranger, foreign resident.

      1. Definition

A gēr was not merely a traveler or tourist, but a non-native resident—a foreigner living among Israelites under their laws and protection. He had no tribal inheritance, so he depended on the goodwill and justice of the host community.

      2. Legal and moral standing

God commanded Israel to love the gēr (Deut 10:19) because Israel once were gērim in Egypt.

The gēr was included in festivals, tithes, and gleanings (Deut 16:11, 14; 26:12).

They were to share economic and legal equality in core matters of justice (Lev 24:22: “one law shall be for the native and for the sojourner”).

      3. Spiritual symbolism

The sojourner embodies human vulnerability and dependence on God’s hospitality.
Israel’s own memory as “strangers in Egypt” taught empathy; in turn, God’s people must extend the same mercy they once received. In a theological sense, all believers are sojourners on earth—temporary residents seeking God’s kingdom (cf. Hebrews 11:13; 1 Peter 2:11).

      4. Moral takeaway

Repeatedly pairing widow, orphan, and sojourner signals a divine ethic of protection: justice is measured by how the community treats those without power, property, or ancestry. The gēr reminds Israel—and us—that righteousness is relational, not ethnic or national.

  2. AMEN!!! LORD HAVE MERCY‼️ THIS IS SO TRUE:God said, “My People perish for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)

Come out from among them and be separate unto The LORD.”

It is time that Christians actually see that they are following the Pied Piper of mass deception” LORD GIVE US EYES TO SEE AND EARS TO WHAT HOLY SPIRIT IS SAYING TO THE CHURCH IN THIS HOUR‼️ SADLY, THE BLIND IARE LEADING THE BLIND!!! LET GOD ARISE- ALL HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED‼️‼️

  3. You ‘betta’ teach the people of GoD….woman of GoD. It’s not just a ‘spirit of delusion’ we are seeing – but The Bible says —- strong delusion 2Thess. 2: 7-12 – We must have a Love for Truth people of GoD – Not ‘my truth’, ‘your truth’ or his/her/their truth – The Truth – The Word – made flesh JESUS! John 14:16

    • So true! God warned us something was coming. A great delusion is here in so many areas! Stay grounded in the Word! Be open to see that things are not what they appear to be.amen. A very strong delusion. Jesus is crying out for people to look at Him- not anyone else. Pray and continue interceding.
