Scotland — Unfinished Business

Today, a comment on one of my Facebook posts caused me to stop and look at Revival in Scotland!
My mind went to the following few, amongst many, revivals in Scotland over the years!
- Cambuslang in 1742.
- Kilsyth in 1742 & 1839 — just 16 miles from Cambuslang.
- The Great Awakening 1859 which came from America via Ireland.
- The Hebridean Revival of 1949-52 — still remembered and recalled today.
And Today — with many, even thousands of young people turning to God!
So, what is The LORD saying about revival in Scotland today?
“Unfinished Business!”
That was not what I was expecting, so I pursued it further, “What unfinished business, LORD?”
“All the moves of My Holy Spirit that you have listed above were “Business started” moments that planted seeds for a greater harvest yet to come!
From Cambuslang and George Whitefield in 1742 until today, good and faithful folk have planted the Seeds of Revival for a time such as this!”
He went on, “There is a growing hunger for things eternal that has not been seen before!
The seeds sown over 200 years ago, plus those sown faithfully since then, are about to produce a harvest of souls on fire for the things of God — a Fire, the like of which has never been released in Scotland before!”
“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of The LORD for the display of his splendor.” Isaiah 61:3b.
“This is what your young people are missing and searching for — the manifest presence of The LORD!
They shall grow and develop quickly for there is much more sowing and reaping to be done and so little time in which to do it!” says The LORD.
I read the words of Isaiah 61:1-11 (below) several times.
There was a fire growing in me for the revival coming to Scotland and the whole of The United Kingdom.
It will, in one sense, be like revivals of old — the presence of God will be overwhelming!
But in other ways, it will be unlike anything seen before, especially in The United Kingdom!
The United Kingdom is not prepared and ready for Revival — but has anyone, anywhere ever been prepared and ready for Revival?
Welcome the Spirit of God and allow Him to minister — then taste and see the goodness of God in Revival.
Yes — in Scotland and spreading rapidly, like the wildfire that Revival is!
Note :
I’ve had words for Scotland before. Linda has seen the heralds with their trumpets in the Ochill Hills waiting to announce The LORD!; but we’ve never seen or felt anything as ‘certain’ as this before.
““The Spirit of The LORD God is upon Me, because The LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to [a]heal the brokenhearted, yo proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of The LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of The LORD, that He may be glorified.”
And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.
Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
But you shall be named the priests of The LORD, they shall call you the servants of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast.
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.
“For I, The LORD, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, and will make with them an everlasting covenant. Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people.
All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom The LORD has blessed.”
I will greatly rejoice in The LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of Salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so The LORD God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all The Nations.” Isaiah 61:1-11.

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
