“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also,” Matthew 6:19-21.
“To be busy with the affairs of this world means to be in opposition to what is important to Me.
For My Ways are in opposition to the world’s ways. If you have chosen to follow the world’s standards then you are in conflict with Mine.
For many pursue after riches. They set their hearts and minds upon acquiring more and more. For this is the way of the world.
But those who set their hearts and minds upon Me, seek those things that are above. For there neither moth nor rust will cause those things to wither away.
And yet what are those things that are above? What are those things that are everlasting? Those things that are eternal are faith, hope, and love.
Those things will never be destroyed. Those things will never wither away. And yet you need the world’s goods to live in this world.
For there are bills to pay, and food and clothing to buy. But your heavenly Father knows that you have need of these.
For if He has clothed the lilies of the field and caused them to have more beauty than even the wealth of Solomon, how much more then would He take care of your needs?
But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, then all those other things will be added unto you.”
