Show Them Who I AM
The LORD has given me a message that starts with this song…
“Why are you hiding, My children?
You come to Me willingly in worship and in prayer, but you are too fearful to stand up in My Name before others. I made you for more than this.
Show them who you really are. Show them who I AM!
I have called you. You are Mine. Stop clinging to the side of the boat, little ones, and come to Me on the water.
Let your feet get wet. Don’t be afraid to fail. I will catch you. Oh, the things we shall do together!
Come!”
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1.
“But in your hearts revere Christ as LORD. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.” 1 Peter 3:15-16.
“My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” 2 Corinthians 5:20.
“Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,” Ephesians 6:19.
Behind the Message
I have prayed long and hard about sharing this.
Some of the Messages The LORD has given me have seemed ‘eccentric’, to say the least, and this is no exception.
‘Donald Where’s Your Troosers?’ is a song that comes to my mind, occasionally anyway, as I am in The United Kingdom and after all, this is Scottish, written by Andy Stewart and Neil Grant in 1960.
But I have been hearing it for a few weeks now and when I inquired of The LORD, He said it wasn’t random — but is from Him!
It’s a comical song, but it’s not actually meant to be a rude. It’s about a Scotsman wearing a traditional kilt.

Andy Stewart
A kilt is a long piece of worsted wool, traditionally tartan, that originated in the sixteenth century as a full-length item of traditional men’s Scottish Highland clothing. (Sorry, fans of the film ‘Braveheart’, but almost everything about that film is a cringe-worthy Hollywood pastiche of Scottish history.)
The modern or small kilt, that looks like a knee-length skirt, originated in the eighteenth century and is now associated more broadly with Scottish culture in general.
So Scottish people, and people of Scottish heritage, often wear the kilt, instead of trousers, in celebration of that culture.
There are far, far more people wearing tartan kilts now than there ever were people wearing tartan kilts from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
Interestingly the song includes a verse about ladies on the London Underground transport system being shocked by the singer wearing a kilt. This is dramatic hyperbole.
Scottish people, and people of more distant Scottish heritage, have worn traditional Scottish dress around London for centuries.
In reality, even in the 1860s, when the London Underground started, no Londoner would have batted an eyelid at someone wearing a kilt.
By the 1950s, they would not have been surprised by a man wearing a sarong or most other types of traditional dress.
I think The LORD is saying to “have courage and step out in Faith!”
He is asking me to remind you of these three things:
1) The LORD moves in mysterious ways.
What looks like genuine outpouring of The Holy Spirit to one person, to someone else is barely recognisable as even being of The LORD.
Yet that does not negate its validity, nor its acceptance in the eyes of The LORD.
Remember, the Laws passed down by Moses required the sacrifice of animals. Yet, long before blood offerings were re-established in King Solomon’s Temple, King David set up the Tabernacle. Priests ministered to The LORD in the Tabernacle without giving blood offerings.
This type of Worship had no precedent in the Old Testament at all, but it prefigured Jesus, our Passover Lamb and the bloodless sacrifice of Worship He enables us to give now.
2) Don’t be fearful of stepping out in your real identity.
You are a Child of the Most High God.
You don’t have to be embarrassed about who you are.
Trousers, kilt, sarong, or anything other garment, as long as you’re not indecently dressed, you are acceptable and pleasing in God’s eyes.
Let yourself be seen.
3) Don’t have a combative, aggressive attitude about it.
Don’t have “a chip on your shoulder” about it.
Don’t assume that other people are looking down on you or mocking you for your Faith.
These days, quite often you might be the only person they see who really walks with The LORD.
Yes, there are people who don’t like it, including other Christians, but there are many others who are open to a sincere and honest conversation about your faith and why you believe as you do.
They have only seen stereotypes of Spirit-filled Christians in the media.
Just be kind and be authentic.
You don’t have to convert someone immediately to have a lasting impact on their life.
The Holy Spirit will give you the right words and the right power at the right time.

“The Holy Spirit will give you the right words and the right power at the right time.”
So True of this, and when He does, we will not be able to keep silent, and controlled by our own will.
LOL to the song but you’re so on point. I’m seeing a lot not stepping out from fear. Time for us all to stand up for the Lord
