Stand Firm; Go Forth in Victory, I AM With You!
“Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are going to cross this Jordan, to go in to take possession of the land which The LORD your God is giving you, to possess it.’”” Joshua 1:10-11.
The LORD gave me this Word on the morning of 4th March this year.
He says: “Read My Word.
Know My Word.
Speak My Word.
Sing My Word.
Live My Word.
I make promises in My Word you have not claimed, because you do not know them and you do not know Me.
It looks like a landfill site but you are entering the land of My Promises.
My Promises are given from My goodness.
My goodness is a vast territory you have barely discovered.
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
Stand firm. Go forth in victory. I AM with you.”
“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our LORD Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57.
“Yours, LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. Both riches and honour come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:11-13.
In the next few days, some of you will start to move into your own promised territory.
Prepare yourself with The Word, with Worship and time spent with The LORD.
It won’t be like you hoped it would be.
It won’t be glorious and perfect and shiny and easy.
It won’t be a triumphal procession of ordered forces in clean dress uniform to the music of marching bands with polished instruments.
It will be difficult, dirty, disorderly and at times, downright unpleasant.
I’m hearing,
“cobbled together….”
“nasty….”
“birthing pains….”
It may start with something as simple as tackling that paperwork you have been putting off, clearing out your garage, having that difficult conversation that you’ve been dreading or dealing with an unexpected illness or plumbing emergency.
It won’t look like it’s part of God’s plan, but it is all in His hands.
Remember, the Israelites did not conquer their promised land immediately. The miracle of crossing the River Jordan was only the start of a long campaign.
This is going to stretch you to breaking point. You will feel weary and alone. The opposition is making a last stand. You need to stay alert and fight on. Do not give up.
Since I received this word some strange, and frankly rather tiresome, things have been happening in our household so I fully know the truth of this word.
I know some of you have been experiencing the same. Don’t give up now. The LORD is moving on our behalf and He is moving us onwards.
It’s going to be a bitter fight, so try not to let yourself complain too much. Have courage. Rely on God’s strength, power and wisdom.
Ask for His favour. Keep thanking, praising and worshipping Him throughout it all. Give Him The Glory.
The battle will be hard won, but it is already won in Jesus.
He has the victory and His victory is our inheritance.
“Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow The LORD will do miracles among you.”” Joshua 3:5.
“These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
“But not a hair of your head will perish. Stand firm, and you will win life.” Luke 21:18-19 .
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for The LORD your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6.
“I will not drive them out from you in a single year, so that the land will not become desolate and the animals of the field become too numerous for you. I will drive them out from you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land,” Exodus 23:29-30.
