Jesus is Peace — He is our peace, and He leads us in peace!

The Holy Spirit is reminding us to live in step with Him.

We can do this by synchronizing our lives with His peace.

We get out of step with The Holy Spirit when we rush — when we try to do things too quickly or push the timeline in order to accomplish something faster.

God is reminding us to relax.

The Holy Spirit says:  “Do not be in a rush, for I AM never in a rush about anything.

I will remind you of what to do and what to say.

Do not try to go ahead of Me, but stay in My pocket.  Hear what I AM speaking to you.

Sometimes you do not hear because you are thinking ahead — thinking about what is to come.

Yes, there is a time and place for that, but most of the time, you need to keep both eyes on Me and what I AM speaking to you right now.

Listen to Me, for I will guide you.

You will be guided in My Peace!”

As The LORD was saying this, He gave me an image in my mind of a person lying flat on their back in a river.  The river was twisting and turning, with strong, rushing water.

The person was simply going wherever the water was taking them.  They were not afraid.  They were not fighting against the current or desperately trying to control where they were going.

They were simply going with the flow of the life God had for them.

There was peace in surrender.

Sometimes we think we have to rush ahead, figure everything out, and make things happen — but The Holy Spirit is reminding us that we don’t have to fight the current when we are flowing with Him!

We don’t need to know every turn the river will take.

We just need to stay close to Him, listen to His voice, and trust His direction.

Let Him carry you where He wants you to go!
