The Scripture admonition is that the Child of God who is now Born Again and has the Holy Spirit living within, must no longer live like the lost people and heathen people in the world. It is clear that the World of unbelievers are now living in a large degree of delusion of their minds. Minds which are darkened and their thinking is very clouded as to any real understanding about God. Yet we find today so many who profess to be believers in the Lord, living so much like the World that there is very little difference between them. The Fact is WE WHO ARE NOW SAVED once lived that way. YES.. I SAID “ONCE LIVED”. Note the Paste tense reference and know that when a person gets saved and possesses the life of God there IS A CHANGE EXPECTED OF THEM. How is it that we can live any longer as the World lives. If our Life has been ENLIGHTENED AND LIFTED than why do some think it still OK to live like the World?

Matter of fact, the truth of the matter is, there are so called Pastors who are literally now fighting those who are preaching, that the Lord wants his people to live in Holiness and cleanness. THE BATTLE RAGES NOT TO COME OUT OF THE WORLD BUT TO INVITE THE WORLD IN. I have wondered at this very thing. Having been rejected because I do preach that Holiness and righteousness should be the outward manifestation of the Born Again Christian Church. Yet so many Churches (professing Christians assembled together) do look like, talk like, and even have the World acceptance. One such Pastor recently explained to me that the Church must be a SAFE PLACE for the sinner to come into. Explaining further, she said it would be terrible to turn away people at the door just because they were not dressed right; after all, we must love these people who do not know any better. MAKE THE SINNER WELCOME BY NOT DRESSING OR ACTING DIFFERENT, OR APPEARING TO BE DIFFERENT. THEY EVEN INVITE THE WORLD MUSIC INTO THE CHURCH AND MAKE IT APPEAR LIKE A CLUB.

Make them COMFORTABLE and they will be helped? Well I say, HELPED TO WHAT? What way would that help them?

The better understanding is that the World should be invited into the Church to be saved and must see something in the Church they need. If all they see is people like themselves, than why be there, or why do they need to be saved? If God accepts sinners and desires no change or repentance, than why would they even need the Church? The church SHOULD NEVER TURN PEOPLE AWAY AT THE DOOR, BUT THEY SHOULD BE INVITED IN. When they get there THEY MUST KNOW THAT GOD IS CALLING THEM AWAY FROM THE WORLD and SIN.

The Worlds ways are NOT GODS WAYS. The Lord is CALLING MEN OUT OF DARKNESS AND OUT OF THE WORLD. He is calling out A PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME SAKE. It happens that the Lord wants to CALL THEM OUT. If not so, than why call them? If the World is acceptable with God, than why even have a Church?

But today, it is OK many places to just remain like the World. All you really have to do in those places is just show up JUST LIKE YOU ARE AND CONTINUE AS YOU CAME IN, pick up some of the LINGO and JUMP UP AND DOWN AT THE MUSIC…… AND ALL WILL BE OK. Nobody will say anything to you as long as you come in, drop a little money in the plate and smile.

It is evident from the following Scriptures (BELOW) that GOD IS SPEAKING ABOUT CHANGE. No longer is it acceptable to LIVE AS THE HEATHEN DO. He wants us to be HOLY LIKE HIM. The Scriptures says we are to STRIP OFF THE OLD NATURE AND LIVE THE …..”NEW NATURE”, which is the NEW MAN. Yes, The New Man, which is created in Holiness and has been given a NEW NATURE OR DESIRE. Old things should be passed away and changed.

It is, now that you are Saved and a Born Again Child of God, thought necessary that THE LORD IS: LORD OF YOUR LIFE. If Jesus is the Lord of your life, what would that mean to you? It certainly means that HE IS BOSS. If you say Jesus is Lord of my Life, what you really are saying is MY LIFE IS NOT MY OWN NOW. You who are saved, should NOT BE YOUR OWN NOW. But you belong to the Lord.

Why do men call Jesus the Lord of their lives when in reality HE IS NOT THE LORD OF THEIR LIVES? Jesus said himself, WHY DO MEN CALL ME LORD AND DO NOT THE THINGS THAT I SAY?

Well some may question that and say what is it the Lord is saying now for me to do? Well the answer to that is this: HE IS CALLING YOU TO BE LIKE HIM. If you are going to be like Him, what would that lifestyle be? Well read the New Testament. Would you find in there that Jesus was Worldly and sinful? Do you think that Jesus would have gone and done the things of the World? No. Jesus even said, WHICH OF YOU CAN CONVINCE ME OF SIN? In other words, Check out my life and show me where I am commenting sin.

Yes, Jesus did go to places where Sinners went but NOT TO BE LIKE THEM, but to Win them. He did go into the Religious Places, but He himself was NOT RELIGIOUS. He was there….. not to be accepted by them, but to call them out of their Religious Works and He was calling them to FOLLOW HIM.

The woman taken in Adultery which Jesus saved (from being Stoned to death) by writing on the ground with his finger to convict those who had come to stone her, told her after they all left, GO NOW AND SIN NO MORE. It was not now just go and I have not condemned you, but Go and Sin no more. In other words JESUS CALLED HER OUT OF HER ADULTERY TO LIVE A CLEAN LIFE. He did not APPROVE HER ADULTERY and just love her so much that he would OVERLOOK HER ADULTERY AND SIN… He did not condemn her but He called for Her to Change. Well Change she did because later we see that she became one of the most loving of His disciples.

Yes, Jesus was called the FRIEND OF SINNERS. True. But he in no way APPROVED THEIR SIN. He came to seek and to Save them from that sin. HE LED THEM OUT OF SINFUL LIVES. He even preached his famous Sermon on the Mount to prove to them the way to live in their new Kingdom.

The Modern Church who are so much like the World and talking about Loving Sinners should follow Jesus’ Pattern, and Call men out of Sin. But so many today do not even speak about SIN, but they SPEAK TO MAKE MEN FEEL COMFORTABLE. Yes, That is right… SAFE, and AT HOME.

When Men come around Christians (true Born Again Christians created in Holiness and changed, living in righteousness) they will be brought under conviction of their sin and repent, becoming CHANGED THEMSELVES. The Church is NO PLACE FOR THE WORLD EXCEPT TO FIND JESUS CHRIST. Any Church just about acceptance is missed the mark and is no longer a Church, but a CLUB. We are to invite the World into the Church to be saved and Changed!

EPHESIANS 4:17-24

“¹⁷ So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.

¹⁸ Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].

¹⁹ In their spiritual apathy they have become callous and past feeling and reckless and have abandoned themselves [a prey] to unbridled sensuality, eager and greedy to indulge in every form of impurity [that their depraved desires may suggest and demand].

²⁰ But you did not so learn Christ!

²¹ Assuming that you have really heard Him and been taught by Him, as [all] Truth is in Jesus [embodied and personified in Him],

²² Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion;

²³ And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],

²⁴ And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.”
