There are moments; there are days, when I sense my whole life before me. I see the circle of life and death. I see a young baby who grows up into womanhood. It is the way of life, and yet it is ever unfolding.

This life we lead is so fleeting and ever changing. Lord give us a heart of wisdom so that we would number our days.

I see an older woman living her days out as she always has, but the signs of age and sorrow have weighed heavily upon her. She has lived her life in service to the Lord, and has always been there for others. She is alone now, and her memories both those of tears and joy, are ever before her.

This life we lead is so fleeting and ever changing. Lord give us a heart of wisdom so that we would number our days. And there are others whose paths have changed, and they are now upon another course. Those whose jobs have been lost, and now they return to a place from where they started years earlier.

And there is the one that has stood beside me. The one that many of us find to marry. She is more precious than fine gold or silver. He who finds a wife, finds a good thing.

Children grow up and marry, and find a life of their own. And they too, have children, and the process continues. The river of life flows on by us as it always has. We saw it when we were much younger, and yet it is still there as it always was, as a reminder of days gone by spent in the sunshine and rain.

Many continue going about this life of theirs as they always have, and yet they too see each stage, each year cause changes as they grow and age. And yet because of the busyness of life, many don’t even take the time to stop and see where they’ve come from, and where they’re going.
