The Christ: How Much You Know Him Determines How Much You Value Him, Have of Him
The Secret of The Christ: How Much You Know Him Determines How Much You Appreciate And Appropriate Him
He was The One Adam saw when he opened his eyes for the first time, but he didn’t know that He was The Son of God.
Adam was created by Him, but he didn’t know that He was The Son of God.
Abraham was called by Him, was a friend of His, but He didn’t know that He was The Son of God.
He told the ever-pestering and persecuting Pharisees most assuredly, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58), but they didn’t know this and didn’t want to.
Moses was face to Face with Him for a total of eighty days — forty the first time, forty the second time (Exodus 24:18; 34:28), but He didn’t know that He was The Son of God. Indeed, he even prophesied Him as The One Prophet all must hear (Deuteronomy 18:15), but He didn’t know that He was The Son of God Who had been speaking to him and dealing with him right from The Burning Bush at Horeb.
Nebuchadnezzar saw Him delivering the three Jews in the burning fiery furnace, and declared: “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and The Form of The Fourth is like The Son of God.” (Daniel 3:25 NKJV). Yet he didn’t know that The God of Israel had a Son.
“The Man Christ Jesus” is The “One Mediator between God and men” (1 Timothy 2:5); yet since Adam, no man knew that God had A Son until His Father revealed Him for the first time to Peter at Ceasarea Philippi (Matthew 16:13-17).
The Mystery of Christ (The Secret of The Christ) is only revealed by The Spirit (Ephesians 3:3-5). No one can know The Son of God Jesus Christ except revealed by His Father, by His Spirit.
The Pharisees, lacking The Revelation of Jesus Christ, persistently persecuted Him because He said, “I AM The Son of God” — making Him God (John 5:18; 10:33-36).
Knowledge of the value of a thing determines how it is valued
If someone doesn’t know what diamond is and how highly valuable a precious stone it is, he can have the rarest diamond with the most valuable “4 Cs” (cut, colour, clarity, carat) in his possession yet not value it and appropriate it/ benefit from it as he would if he knew it and its value. (Note: The value of diamond is based on “4 Cs”: cut, colour, clarity, carat).
Much more so is The Case with our Precious Jesus.
If you don’t deeply know Who Jesus Christ The Precious Living Stone is and what He can do, you will not value Him and benefit from Him as you should.
“Coming to Him as to A Living Stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a Spiritual House, a holy priesthood, to offer up Spiritual Sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore it is also contained in The Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a Chief Cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become The Chief Cornerstone,” and “a Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to The Word, to which they also were appointed.” 1 Peter 2:4-8 NKJV.
We must seek to know Jesus deeply and highly so as to likewise value, honour, worship, appreciate and appropriate Him as we ought to.
As Paul pursued to do, so we must. He said: “that I may know Him and The Power of His Resurrection, and The Fellowship of His Sufferings, being conformed to His Death, if, by any means, I may attain to The Resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11 NKJV.
The believer’s pursuit in life must be to know Jesus, His Power, The Fellowship of His Sufferings (i.e. the believer taking up his own cross daily), and going to Heaven with Him when He returns.
Jesus said to the Samaritan woman at the well:
“If you knew The Gift of God, and Who it is Who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you Living Water.” John 4:10 NKJV.
We urgently, indispensably need to know Who Jesus is and What He can do for us.
The LORD also said to the Samaritan woman:
“You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for Salvation is of the Jews.“ John 4:22 NKJV.
We need to know and must know What we worship.
This is a game-changer, for the people who know their God will be strong and overcome in these very turbulent last days (Daniel 11:32).
Daily seek, know, value, appreciate and appropriate Jesus Christ in all things at all times.
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

Oh Jacob, what an awesome teaching and word from the Lord. So ON TIME. It is a game changer! “If you don’t deeply know Who Jesus Christ The Precious Living Stone is and what He can do, you will not value Him and benefit from Him as you should.” That says it all!!! In His Love, Sandi
Beautiful.
Awesome word and I receive this with all of my heart!!!
