The Hebridean Revival Prayer

Barvas Church on the Isle of Lewis — where Revival broke out!
The prayer I believe can change so much.
It’s based on: The Hebridean Revival Prayer
“Oh God, You made a promise to pour water on the dry ground, and LORD, it’s not happening.
LORD, I don’t know how those hearing or reading this stand in Your Presence;
I don’t know how they stand,
… but LORD, if I know anything about my own heart, I stand before You as an empty vessel, thirsting for You and for a manifestation of Your power.
Oh God, I believe your honour is once again at stake; and I dare now to challenge you to fulfill Your Covenant engagement and do what You promised to do.”
In Jesus mighty name
Amen!

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.

Chris, I’m smiling from ear to ear because, before I read your post, I had texted a childhood friend and said “Waiting for the Move of God with the NEW that He is bringing in people’s lives.” Then I decided to read what Duncan Campbell wrote on the Hebrides Revival. “Revival is a moving of God in the community, and suddenly the community becomes God-conscious before a word is said by any man representing any special effort. I love his mention of the two sisters who prayed Isaiah 44:3, and Psalm 24 by the young man.
Blessings peace and love to you and yours dear Chris.
We have so much to learn from these old revivals, not least the persistent fervent prayer of righteous people!
AMEN
