The Steps of a Righteous Man
I love to seek out the deep meanings of scripture as it adds SO much more meaning and can change the way we understand our amazing God.
Today, I was drawn to study this verse, “The steps of a righteous man are ordered by The LORD.” (Psalm 37:23)
How many times have we heard this verse? But do you know that this is only part of a sentence?
The rest of it is “and He (God) DELIGHTS in his way.”
Wow! God has prepared your steps ahead of time and He delights in it, because He delights in you!
And I noticed that the King James added the word “righteous” to the word “man.” In the Strong’s Hebrew, it is just “a man.”
I love King James, but sometimes their own theology is added. That is why it is good to look at all the translations and especially the Hebrew and Greek, and let The Holy Spirit teach you the true meanings.
The Hebrew word for “ordered” is Strong’s Hebrew 3559: (kō·w·nā·nū) meaning “Firm, established, fixed, secure, prepared, settled.” It is “perfect tense” which mean that the action is COMPLETE, FINISHED, PERFECTED.
So, Beloved of God. Know that your Abba Father delights in your journey and He has prepared and perfected your steps ahead of time.
When you are born again in Jesus, The Holy Spirit is always leading you. He will not let you get off course. God is not “ordering” you, like in the military sense, as we might think by the English translation, but God has perfected the Way before you because He delights in you! Your Father is rooting for you and He KNOWS you will make it!
He is BENDING DOWN to you to keep your feet from falling!
“Beloved. Your steps have been established by Me. I take delight in your journey, My Child. I bend down to you to bless the way before you.
Though the enemy would try to cause you to fall, you will not be overwhelmed, for The LORD your God holds your hand.
You shall never be abandoned, Dear One, I shall never forsake you nor shall your children have to beg for bread. I AM He who goes before you, to make a Way where there seems to be no way.
Even when you take a detour, I will get you back on course. The Spirit is your Guide through life’s journey. I see what lies ahead of you and I have already made a way of escape.
You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate, but you shall be called “My Delight is in Her”, and your land,”Married”, for Yahweh delights in you.
I will never let you flounder in the Sea of chaos, My Child. I will not let you drown in the storms of life. But My Shalom Peace shall surround you and guide you always.
For I AM He who contends with those who contend with you, I AM He who fights against those who fight against you.
I AM The Word who is a Lamp for your feet and a Light for your Path. My Favor will bring you forth in Victory. In the Light of the King’s Countenance is Life; and My Favor is as a Cloud of the Latter Rain.
Look up, Beloved. Bright Clouds are raining down on your Path. I crown your year with My Goodness, and as I go before you, the Paths drip with abundance.
So keep walking, My Child. My Anointing is upon you to break every yoke. I AM well able to keep you from falling.
The Advocate is with you forever — The Spirit of Truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and is in you.
It is your God who arms you with strength and makes your way clear. I make your feet like hinds’ feet and station you upon the heights!
I AM the One who goes ahead of you, I AM with you always. My Grace is sufficient for you, My Strength is made perfect in weakness.
I will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed! I delight in making your Path sure!”
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the Presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen!” Jude 1:24
ORDERED BY The LORD : Strong’s Hebrew 3559:(kō·w·nā·nū) meaning firm, established, fixed, secure, prepared, settled. A man’s steps so governed as to attain the end at which he aims; or strengthened, or established, so as he shall not stumble and fall.
AND HE DELIGHTS : יֶחְפָּֽץ׃ (yeḥ·pāṣ) Strong’s Hebrew 2654: 1) to delight in, take pleasure in, desire, be pleased with, be pleased to do; To move, BEND DOWN. Pleased to do a thing. Be mindful of, attentive to. He FAVORS his way. We are the object of the Divine Favor, and under the care of God. He shall not stumble or fall. Two of the most common Hebrew terms for delight are hepes [pej], “to bend towards, to be inclined towards [an object or person], “and rasa [h’x’r], “to delight or take pleasure in.” Strong’s Greek: “favorably disposed, leaning towards” and cognate with 5485 /xáris, “grace”) – literally, to experience God’s grace (favor), joy, cheer, elation.
IN HIS (your) WAY: וְדַרְכּ֥וֹ (wə·ḏar·kōw) Strong’s Hebrew 1870: way, road, distance, journey, manner, path, direction, course of life.
The phrase “ROOTING FOR YOU” means that someone is cheering you on and they want what is best for you in a situation. To encourage by cheering or applauding enthusiastically. Supporting someone every STEP OF THE WAY!
“The steps of a man are ordered by The LORD who takes delight in his journey. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for The LORD is holding his hand. I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread.” Psalm 37:23-25.
“You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah (My delight is in her) , and your land Beulah (Be Husband to); For The LORD delights in you, And your land shall be married.” Isaiah 62:4.
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9.
“You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” Psalm 65:11.
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” John 16:13.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17.

“God is my strong fortress and He makes my way clear. He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and stations me upon the heights.” 2 Samuel 22:33-34.
“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8.

God’s PRESENCE AND WORD IS A WORK IN PROGRESS… Sometimes HEARING GOD IS WHEN WE REALISE It’s HIM SOEAKING THROUGH US . and sometimes it’s SITTING UNDER TEACHING, AND REFLECTING READING that causes us to BE MORE GOD CONSCIOUS… HIS WORD INCREASING, AND THEN Atmospheres that FUEL WORSHIP…Also help PURSUE HIS PRESENCE…
IF YOUR BORN OF HIS SPIRIT, you have a right to start having CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM❤️❤️, in a way you know HE’S TALKING TO YOU…
So very EXCITED.. But was slain in the spirit. SOMETIMES having to work the word, is the instruction the Lord have to FILL THE VESSELS /:POTS TO OVERFLOW is not an overnight process. Even in countries where the rain falls till it overflows and the aqueducts Or the banks, like the banks of the JORDAN are overflowing, require the CREATIVE ORDER OF SEED, TIME, HARVEST… sometimes the water is water, sometimes it’s SNOW. Either way, ISAIAH 55 Teaches us we have to watch, pray,and do, whilst the Lord determines how the WORD WHICH IS BOTH SPIRIT, AND Power will accomplish what God wants ..

I don’t hear the Lord clearly yet, I believe I’m being brought out of the shadows, led forth from the cave where He will most certainly remove the veils. (grave clothes)
Until then I’m so grateful for my brothers and sisters of His heart of love and encouragement He’s so graciously brought into my life.
Completion is one of my favorite words. I’m a house Painter, inside and out. I’ve been doing this for many years and it’s hard work, but very rewarding. It’s amazing to look at the before and after and see the transformation a touch of paint can bring. It’s alot like the Work The Spirit does in us. Another favorite word of mine is Payday!! :D
In the transformation process this Word has taken on a whole New meaning.
