This is not the first time we have lived in a time of moral and spiritual crisis with disregard of authority, crime, wars, drug addition, and overall chaos.

I have been asking The LORD to speak Wisdom to me for this hour.

He has filled my heart to overflowing with a desire to hear only His Voice and drown out the clamoring of the world.

Many years ago as I finished a training school with John and Paula Sanford, I learned that the office of a Christian Prophet is not to be confused with the gift of prophecy.

I would like to briefly share something I believe is needed today about the call of a Prophet.

A Prophet is a Watchman. His life and breath is truly intercession within The Church.

In comments, some have asked me about the gift of prophecy. As I pondered the questions, I felt it is time to give a brief clarification.

The gift of prophecy is a Word from The LORD given in a Church setting many times.

It is often in Meetings as well for direction, rebuke, exhortation, encouragement, and or consolation.

“However, that gift does not commission the Prophet of that prophetic word to The Office of a Prophet.”

(I quote that to you from my class notes when I did the school of the Prophets).

I simply quote, that because of my high regard for the Sanfords and what I learned from them.

So again, all Prophets are Intercessors — but not all Intercessors are Prophets.

According to The Word of God, a Prophet is one whole mouth has been touched to speak for God.

“Then The LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and The LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.”” Jeremiah 1:9 NKJV.

“So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.” Ezekiel 33:7 NKJV.

The LORD is continuing to speak to me today about Listening.

He said, “Daughter, have you noticed that your thoughts seem to have ‘a mind of their own’ — or should I say —- a ‘life of their own’?”

I asked, “What do you mean?”

He said, ‘Your flesh starts a battle with your spirit when I AM drawing you to Myself to Listen!

Your mind begins to wander and compete for your attention. I desire your total attention.

When I have your full attention, the enemy cannot distract you — because you are no longer being dependent on your thoughts, or what you want to say, but you are totally dependent on hearing My Voice only, and receiving guidance.

I AM allowing you to see the war that the flesh has put you in to demand your own independence.

I AM bringing you into total ONENESS with Me, so that you are totally dependent on My Wisdom and daily direction.

This is a time when intercessors are being tested for willingness to engage in a two way conversation that will free you up of all discouragement and distraction from the world, as well as all the thoughts of hopelessness and fear that are flooding the atmosphere that you live in.”

As I pondered what He was speaking to me, I was awakened to the truth that was penetrating my heart with sudden comfort and total assurance.

I realized that many times we have said “LORD, you are all I need!” — and then we have run to the first person we find who will listen.

I quickly said, “Thank you LORD that you always remind me that we do not know our own heart.

LORD, I am forever grateful that You are filling Your Chosen Ones with what we often speak of as ‘BLESSED ASSURANCE’ in an hour when the whole world is screaming constantly of lack, fear, double-mindedness, deception, and total despair.”

So Beloved, I hear The LORD say, “Be the Prophet of your own life in these moments.

Begin to face The Winds of Change! Speak life to that deadly despair that has been hovering like a dark cloud over you.

Come quietly into My Presence and prepare your heart for a time of Intercession.

It is the ripe time to bring to birth your personal Call and End-time Assignment in your heart for the soon outpouring of The Holy Spirit in all the earth.

It is now the fitting together time of The Army of The LORD for such a time as this.”

I hear The LORD speaking to His Bride, “So, I AM calling you to come aside and listen to The One who has been vying for your total attention in this time of much confusion and clamor.

Shut the door, to all distractions as you set your heart to receive the BLESSED ASSURANCE that you are a member of the Triumphant Tribe of More than Conquerors, who are being raised up in these end-times to cause the kingdom of darkness to crumble before the eyes of the whole world!”
