The Word of God Goes Forth With POWER!
“He sends out His Command to the earth; His Word runs very swiftly.” Psalm 147:15 NKJV.
The Word of God Goes Forth With POWER!
Oh, It DOES! Yes, He does. For Jesus is The Word (John 1:1,14; Revelation 19:13).
On 24 January 2025, while transitioning from sleep to wakefulness, I suddenly heard with Divine Military Authority and Glory: “The Word of God goes forth with POWER!“
One Word of God deployed in Faith (by prayer, praise, preaching, teaching, decrees and declarations, etc.) as led by The Holy Spirit is more powerful than ALL military bombs and other explosives combined (past, present and future) made by man.
Their effect, compared with The Power of The Word of God is like the punch of a two-year-old on his/ her very muscular heavy weight boxer father’s biceps.
The materials used to make those bombs and other explosives were created by The Word of God anyway, and are less than a grain of sand at a sandy seashore in terms of power when compared with The Word of God.
For The Word of God created the whole universe; yes, heaven and earth and the sea and all things that are in them.
It is The Word of His POWER! (Hebrews 1:3). Hallelu-YAH! GLORY TO GOD!
The Word carries ALL The Power of God in It and with It when used in Faith, led by The Holy Spirit.
Indeed, God Almighty is The Word. Jesus is THE WORD (John 1:1, 14; Revelation 19:13).
The Word of The Cross is The POWER of God (1 Corinthians 1:18).
Therefore, when we use The Word (led by The Holy Spirit), we deploy THE POWER. And nothing, absolutely nothing can stand in the way.
Can anyone, anything stand in the way of Jesus Christ The Word?
So, What Power does The Word of God go forth with?
Almighty Power. Matchless Power. Endless Power.
Examples include:
- The Creating Power of The Word
“By Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by The Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3 NKJV.
Just as by The Word Jesus turned water into wine, multiplied five loaves of bread and two fish to feed over five thousand people, you can speak Rhema (a specific Holy Spirit-given Word/ Utterance) to create anything needed: food and drink, body parts/ organs, money, the fruit of the womb, crops, livestock, among others.
I testify from Scripture and personal experience in my life, family, business and ministry.
Is there anything too hard for God to do?
The things The Word created in Genesis 1 can be and are still being created today by The Word.
Depend on The Holy Spirit to use The Word of God to do The Wonderful Works of God.
- The Healing Power of The Word
“He sends His Word and heals them, and delivers [them] from their destructions.” Psalm 107:20 LSV.
The Word of God has healing Power. If you use The Word in Faith as led by The Holy Spirit, you can heal yourself and anyone else.
Jesus is The Healer. Jesus is The Word.
And He has given us Power and Authority over all demons and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1).
We are Jesus doctors with His Power and Authority to provide His Healthcare in the earth.
A few years ago, a sister with acute liver disease was brought to me in the mission field in Ghana. She had been to the foremost teaching hospital in the land but was not cured.
But when she came and I used The Word of God in prayer as led by His Holy Spirit, she was healed completely. GLORY TO GOD!
I have been using The Word of God to heal people including myself for years. The Word works wonders.
Deploy The Healing Power of The Word of God for healing and health.
- The Cleansing/ Purifying Power of The Word
We are sanctified, cleansed, purified when we study, meditate on, believe and obey The Word of God (Ephesians 5:26; Psalm 119:10).
We must therefore make it a daily habit to stay in The Word just as we daily brush the mouth and bathe or shower to clean the body.
- The Light-giving Power of The Word.
The Word is God, and God is Light.
When therefore we study, meditate on, believe and obey The Word, The Light floods us and dispels the darkness.
“The Entrance of Your Words gives Light; It gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:130 NKJV.
The Word of God gives us Light to safely travel through this dark world.
“Your Word is a Lamp to my feet And a Light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 NKJV.
- The Self-control Power of The Word.
The Word of God powers and empowers us to not sin if kept in our heart and used to guard our heart.
“Your Word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11 NKJV.
“I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your Word.” Psalm 119:101 NKJV.
- The Life-giving Power of The Word.
The Word of God is also called The Word of Life. The Word has Life-giving Power. The Word gives Life.
A sinful, dying soul? The Word of Life (The Gospel of Christ) can give him Eternal Life instantly.
A dead destiny? The Word of Life can revive it.
A lost hope? The Word of Life can breathe new life into it!
“This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your Word has given me Life.” Psalm 119:50 NKJV.
“I will never forget Your Precepts, For by Them You have given me Life.” Psalm 129:93 NKJV.
- The Strengthening, Reviving Power of The Word.
No matter how weak and wearied we may be, The Word of God has The Power to encourage, strengthen and revive us. Hallelu-YAH! Oh, thank You JESUS for Your Holy Word!
A Scripture Verse quickened by The Holy Spirit, a Bible-based, Holy Spirit-led Message/ counsel/ statement, the lyrics of a Holy Spirit-given song, etc. can suddenly strengthen, encourage and revive us because of The Reviving Power of The Word.
“My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:25 NKJV.
“My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:28 NKJV.
“I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:107 NKJV.
“Plead my cause and redeem me; Revive me according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:154 NKJV.
- The Joy-giving Power of The Word! Hallelu-YAH!
When The Word of God is truly understood and received, It brings Divine Joy to one’s heart. And The Joy of The Lord gives us Strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
God lives and moves in joy (Psalm 16:11). Therefore, let us endeavour to keep joyful with The Help of The Holy Spirit.
“I have inherited Your Testimonies for all time, for they [are] the joy of my heart.” Psalm 119:111 LSV.
“Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified The Word of The Lord. And as many as had been appointed to Eternal Life believed.” Acts 13:48 NKJV.
- The Peace-giving Power of The Word.
When you love and depend on The Word of God truly, you will always have great Peace even in the midst of trouble and affliction.
“Those loving Your Law have Abundant Peace, and they have no stumbling-block.” Psalm 119:165 LSV.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer, and by supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and The Peace of God, that is surpassing all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 LSV.
- The Hope-giving Power of The Word.
When we hope in The Word of God ALONE, He gives us hope AND the help we need.
“You are my hiding Place and my Shield; I hope in Your Word.” Psalm 119:114 NKJV.
“I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your Word.” Psalm 119:147 NKJV.
The Faith-giving Power of The Word.
The Word of God gives us Faith when received and followed. Indeed, The Word is also called The Word of Faith.
‘But what does it say? “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, The Word of Faith which we preach)…..
…… So then Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by The Word of God.” Romans 10:8,17 NKJV.
- The Wisdom-giving Power of The Word.
The Word of God gives us Wisdom that the best universities can never teach, the wisest men do not have.
When studied, when believed, when meditated on, when obeyed, when used, The Word of God (Which is The Wisdom of God) puts us above all hostile situations, enemies and the wisest in society.
“Oh, how I love Your Law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your Commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your Testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your Precepts.” Psalm 119:97-100 NKJV.
‘For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?‘ 1 Corinthians 1:19-20 NKJV.
- The Understanding-giving Power of The Word.
The Word of God gives us His Understanding and Direction in all areas of life; which alone we must always seek and walk in.
“I have understanding from Your Precepts, therefore I have hated every false path!” Psalm 119:104 LSV.
“Let my cry come before You, O Lord; Give me understanding according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:169 NKJV.
- The Upholding Power of The Word
The Son of God is upholding (bearing) all things (the whole universe; indeed, all things in Heaven, on earth and under the earth) by The Word of His Power (Hebrews 1:3).
We must therefore often pray The Word of His Power to uphold/ bear our life, family, marriage, health, finances, business, ministry, employment, journeys, and all things that pertain to life and GODliness concerning you and others.
“Uphold me according to Your Word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.” Psalm 119:116 NKJV.
- The Fire Power of The Word.
Our God is A Consuming Fire (Hebrews 12:29). The Word is God; Jesus is The Word (John 1:1,14; Revelation 19:13).
As such, when deployed in Faith with Holy Spirit-led Utterance, The Word goes forth as Fire with Fiery Power!
“Therefore thus says The Lord God of hosts: “Because you speak this Word, Behold, I will make My Words in your mouth Fire, And this people wood, And it shall devour them.” Jeremiah 5:14 NKJV.
“Is not My Word like a Fire?” says The LORD, “And like a Hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29 NKJV.
- The Breaking/ Crushing Power of The Word.
The Word of God breaks and crushes the most stubborn demons and problems when used relentlessly in hammering away at them.
We overcome the devil by The Blood and The Word (Revelation 12:11).
“Is it not thus? My Word [is] as Fire,” a declaration of YHWH. “And as a Hammer — It breaks a rock in pieces.” Jeremiah 23:29 LSV.
- The Deliverance Power of The Word.
The Word of God is All-Powerful to deliver us out of any adverse situation, problem if deployed.
“He sends His Word and heals them, and delivers [them] from their destructions.” Psalm 107:20 LSV.
“Let my supplication come before You; Deliver me according to Your Word.” Psalm 119:170 NKJV.
- The Exceedingly Broad Power of The Word.
The Power of The Word extends to all things, covers anything and everything.
The Word of God is All-Powerful, and covers ALL areas of life. It must therefore be used as such for success in life.
“I have seen an end of all perfection, Your Command [is] exceedingly broad!” Psalm 119:96 LSV.
Only The Word works in the world. Only The Word of Truth is true.
Let us therefore depend on The Word of God totally and tirelessly.
“For The Word of God is living, and working, and sharper — beyond every two-edged sword — and piercing as far as [the] division of soul and spirit, of joints and also marrows, and a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart!” Hebrews 4:12 LSV.
Always depend on and deploy The Word of God at all times, in all things.
Let The Word of God go forth with POWER to produce The Wonderful Works of God.
“For from you The Word of The Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.” 1 Thessalonians 1:8 NKJV.
As our Lord Jesus Christ has said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from The Mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4)
This is the only to have good success (Joshua 1:8).
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
