The Word of God Speaks to Us All Today
Good morning!
This is to The Body of Christ today, to hopefully strengthen us.
My questions to each one of us today is what is it going to take to stand steadfast in this hour with The LORD?
Just how do we get there?
The word abiding keeps coming to me here. Here is a good link I found on the meaning of the word.
Abide means “to be able to live with or put up with.” If you can’t abide with something, it means you can’t stand it. If you can abide it, it means you can live with it.
An old definition of abide is “to live” — think of abode, as in “dwelling.” If you abide by the rules, it means you live with them, and you will follow them. If you can’t abide your sister’s shrill violin playing, it means you can’t live with it, you can’t be in the house when she’s practicing. You abide something you don’t like, like your teacher’s long stories about math. It’s not a pleasant experience, but what choice do you have?” ©vocabulary.com
In God’s Word we see Apostle Paul wrote:
“I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Philippians 4:12.
Here I wish to give you this song you can play as you read along.
As I played the song myself, the music and words ministered to my spirit man.
Just a couple phrases here out of the song for the moment,
“Here let me stay and rest in your holiness.“
Holiness should never be about legalism but a place of being completely surrendered to His perfect will.
The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us all into perfect maturity.
Another phrase in the song that quickened my spirit was,
“Be still and know that Your in this place.”
To know a person truly, you have to spend time with them.
The LORD Jesus Christ longs for us to have a personal relationship with Him.
People can have head knowledge, it’s just not enough!
Only through Jesus Christ strength can we do all things! When I am weak then I am strong!
Now to close here is a few scriptures.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:12-13.
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10.
“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of The LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10.
God bless you all as we abide in Him.
