Is this old “Saying” correct?
“Once again, I will say that it really does not matter what Church you go to as long as you believe in what Jesus did on that cross so long ago!”
It has been said for years by many many people that it really does not matter what Church you go to…. just as long as you believe that Jesus died on that cross long ago…. like the direct quote I just took from a well known writer on Facebook.
I really can’t help my evangelical Bible Believing Salvation, and must make a statement.
No. It is NOT alright which Church you attend, because many ‘Churches’ professing to be Christian…… do profess they believe that Jesus died on the cross, yet they do not believe in the correct Jesus!
These ‘Churches’ believe all sorts of things about Jesus, yet, they would not hesitate to differ, with clear Bible truth as to who Jesus is, and/ or what did Jesus do on his cross!
You must understand that the devil even believes in Jesus Christ! Yet… we all know the devil is not saved, nor does he believe the right thing.
See James 2:19,
“thou believest that there is one god; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble…”
It is a sobering fact many have come to know as the very truth…..
Thousands of souls go in and out of Churches every day and are as lost as a ball in high weeds!
Religion is not enough.
Many false Churches continue to hold up their belief in Jesus and their belief in the Bible everyday, and continuing now for hundreds of years… Yet they do not know this Jesus who they say they believe in.
No. They remain unsaved…..
The reasons are:
Catholics believe all children can be saved by baptism, and that all believers can be lost again [following their religious expression with baptism] by doing things sinful.
The Catholic church is famous for their indulgences, works, and sacraments. Just believing in Jesus [by their own professions] is not enough!
Mormons believe all men are saved and that no man will be lost. They clearly proclaim their belief in the Bible, yet they do not believe in the correct Jesus.
Their Jesus is the brother of Satan, and was not god. Jesus to them was just another man.
Jehovah Witnesses do not believe in Jesus [in reality, yet they talk of him…], but believe Jesus was just another god.
He is not a deity person, he is only a man [according to their plain professions in their New World translation of the Bible. And again, Jesus did not die to save men, but died to set only an example.
Methodist believe in babies being saved by infant baptism.
Church of Christ believe in a [5 point salvation] plan, which denies the work of Jesus Christ for their sins when they say one must keep the sacraments to be saved weekly, they must be baptized to be saved, and they must keep all the commandments to be saved.
Many of them believe totally in keeping the Sabbath Day in order to be saved.
These are just a few…

Sorry, but I do not agree. NOT all who believe in Jesus Christ are truly saved.
