Time to Kill Whats Trying to Survive the Fire

In Prayer this morning I heard these Words, ”Time to kill whats trying to survive The Fire!”
A few days ago I shared in a post that we needed to ‘Stop asking God to take away things,…what He already told us to Crucify’.
I truly believe this is often where spiritual frustration begins, we want to know and experience Breakthrough and Freedom — but we do not want to Obey or Surrender.
As Believers, we yearn to walk in greater levels and measures of Authority and Power, but we want to take short cuts to try and avoid the process of dying to the self life.
The truth is, the flesh is loud and relentless, similar to a spoilt child that stamps its feet and screams to have its own way.
The flesh as we know, does not just disappear quietly into the distance, but it rises up and seeks above all to survive anywhere it is even remotely tolerated.
We must know that ‘Every Choice’ — seasoned with compromise — will only keep making greater room for the flesh to grow until eventually it’s strong enough to start fighting against the Will of God inside of us.
The flesh is not something we are called to babysit or comfort or constantly excuse.
The Word of God is clear; it says the carnal mind is at War with God because it refuses to submit to Him (Romans 8:7).
This is why our flesh will put up a fight, it will resist Prayer, discipline, correction, fasting, a call to purity and Holiness, and anything that demands for change — will be firmly rejected.
Here is the danger! If we keep feeding what God told us to put to death, we cannot be shocked when the same battles, the same giants and mountains keep showing up in our lives!
Some of us will go as far as rebuking demons, binding and loosing devil spirits — all while still protecting and maintaining the very appetites that are keeping us bound and that continue to feed the idols that sit upon the altar our flesh was meant to burn on.
Friends, this is not a question of Spiritual Warfare.
If we think we can keep nursing what God has called us to crucify, then we are blind and deceived.
Jesus said, if anyone wants to follow Him, they MUST deny themselves (the Flesh), take up their Cross DAILY and FOLLOW Him (Luke 9:23).
The Cross was never meant to be comfortable. The Cross is a Call to a place of death…
A few days ago I overheard a conversation, and this person was talking about having ‘given their lives to The LORD’.
And while of course that is always a point for great celebration, I suddenly heard The Spirit say, ”Yes! But which part of your life have you given to me?”
As I walked away, I was deeply moved and yet freshly challenged…
Ha! The Holy Spirit always knows how to confront our flesh with the right questions!
Indeed! ”Yes! But which part of your life have you given to me?”
As I reflected, I was reminded that following Christ truly means allowing pride, false humility, lust, rebellion, vanity, compromise and worship of the self — to be put to death — and daily — sometimes even hourly!
Real Spiritual Growth is not measured by our emotional response, or how Spiritual we may sound. Maturity in Christ is revealed by what no longer holds or controls us!
Many of us know only too well what “Church language” sounds like. We have been well versed and educated on the right Church jargon, but sadly, many still cannot control their temper, or stop their tongues from gossiping and lying.
We chase after the next Spiritual Encounter with God, but avoid God’s Instruction to Yield and Obey in private.
Oh how we love the appearance of Spirituality and Godliness, while remaining ruled by the appetites of our flesh. Truly we have become fat on the flesh while our Spirits are malnourished and our Spiritual Wombs are dry and barren and can produce nothing of any real Spiritual substance.
Warriors — there is a cost to Spiritual Maturity — the kind of Spiritual Maturity that cannot be manufactured or simply taught; our fruits reveal our roots…
Make no mistake, uncrucified flesh will only sabotage what God is trying to build and establish in a person’s life — and when it reaches full maturity, it will come like an armed bandit and rob us of everything!
The flesh has to die daily!
No! It cannot be managed! It must never be excused — and it would be wise not to try and find it a hiding place behind spiritual language and religion that only gives it more time to grow….
It must be Crucified! — PERIOD!
It’s very simple; whatever keeps surviving the Fire in our lives, is because we keep protecting it!
Often, what we have called or labelled as a simple “weakness” — God has already called it out as Sin!
Sin that is strategically designed by the enemy to affect our Faith; to separate us from God; and to give Satan legal grounds to rob, kill and destroy Destinies!
So Pray with me…
”LORD Jesus… Thank You for the Gift of Repentance… for Mercy and the manifestation of Your Victory and full Restoration in my life.
I ask that You come in this moment and expose in me every area where I have come into alignment and in agreement with the works of the flesh.
Would You remove every excuse I use to protect compromise and lies in my life?
Father… Help my unbelief and teach me to love Righteousness more than comfort, and to pursue Obedience and Surrender more than Convenience.
I invite You to shine a spotlight where I have blind spots, and I choose by an act of my will to crucify everything in me that resists Your Will.
I choose to kill what’s trying to survive the Fires of Purification.
I Pray that my life will truly reflect in real time the Authority and Power of Your Spirit and that You would be Glorified in and through my life!
Blessings to you all.

Absolutely true.
I have been praying for days for God to answer my question and answered it through your word thank you for your obedience and the great reminder
Danke. Eine großartige Frage die sich einprägt und sich mir auch gerade stellt.
Ja,aber welchen Teil deines Lebens hast du mir gegeben?
[ HKP : “Thank you. A great question that sticks with you and that I’m also asking myself right now.
Yes, but what part of your life have you given me?” ]
Thank you for your outstanding post and prayer….a word from the Lord that I really needed. Surrendering and crucifying my flesh daily is always a difficult task for me. Your post was an answer to a recent conversation I had with the Lord, asking “WHY”! I will keep a copy to re-read.
Blessings to you
