A poignant picture for the Body of Christ to consider in this hour concerning Brexit…!
I had to post this picture of Jacob Rees Mogg…
A News Caption says; “A relaxed Jacob Rees Mogg sits back and listens to the emergency debate..!”
He was pictured like this today while an emergency debate was raging over a bill to overturn Brexit.
It’s reported many MPs were shouting at him to “Get up and respect parliament…!”
Well, all I can say is as I looked at this picture the story of “Jesus calms the storm” came to mind.
You all know it! Its the story when the disciples were going across to the other-side in the boat and suddenly a violent storm rose up and Jesus was found fast asleep in the boat.
The winds and waves were so violent that the small boat began to sink, the disciples became terrified and feared for their lives, so they shouted to Jesus to wake up and “do something” or they would all surely die.
But! When Jesus woke up he calmly spoke to the violent wind and the waves and told them to be still, and the winds and the waves immediately obeyed.
Then we hear Jesus rebuked the fearful disciples for being of such little faith, and he asked them, how much longer would he have to be with them before they could believe and begin to walk in the power and authority that was given to them.
I believe there is a powerful message in this picture for the Body of Christ in this hour…!
By now… the spirit of fear should have no room to manoeuvre, we should be rising up in power and taking authority over every storm that threatens to derail our crossing over to the other side and to destroy our destiny.
I hear The Spirit say, “My Ecclesia, fear not! Did I not say I AM taking you across to the other-side?
Therefore speak to the violent winds and to the waves that threaten to overwhelm you.
Beloved, do NOT fear the wicked plans and schemes of man, only speak My Word and it shall be established for you.
So take heart and be good courage, for its time to arise, advance, pursue, overtake and recover all,”says God.
Jesus calms the storm….
“That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “let us go over to the other side.” leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “quiet! Be still!” then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”” Mark 4:35-41.
Blessings to you all.
