Unforgiveness and Bitterness Block Prayers!
Praying that God will Heal, Deliver and set us free from the hard emotional blows dealt to us and that He will give us Grace to Forgive — because unforgiveness and bitterness block prayers!

Implications
1) Broken Fellowship with God
Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us.
When we harbor unforgiveness, it creates a barrier between us and God, blocking the flow of His grace and mercy.
2) Grieves the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 4:30-32 warns against grieving the Holy Spirit through bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness.
The Holy Spirit is our helper and intercessor in prayer (Romans 8:26), and when we quench or grieve Him, our prayers lose power and effectiveness.
3) Hinders Faith and Authority
Mark 11:25 emphasizes that when we stand in prayer, we must forgive others.
Unforgiveness can create doubt and unbelief, weakening the authority we have in Christ to declare and receive answers to our prayers.
4) Opens the Door to the Enemy
Bitterness gives the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27).
This can lead to spiritual oppression, block blessings, and cause confusion or distraction during prayer.
5) Affects Relationships with Others
Jesus said in Matthew 5:23-24 that if we have unresolved conflict with others, we should reconcile before offering our gifts at the altar.
Healthy relationships are vital for effective prayer and unity in the body of Christ.
Forgiveness is not about excusing the wrongs but releasing the burden and entrusting justice to God.
When we forgive, we free ourselves from bondage and open the door to God’s favor and answered prayers!
Shalom

People don’t make the effort to settle matters with their brothers and sisters.
Amen.
How do you release those burdens in a healthy way? I have issues that has opened up the door to the enemy, but I don’t currently receive any advice on how to correct the situation, especially when you truly forgive, then the consistent harassment begins all over again, sometimes used as a test – but how do you maintain when you are going through this day in/out?
I’ve been harassed by these demonic spirits for about 12-13 years.
Shalom Norman!
Please download these two booklets and start to pray through them, starting with:
“Reestablishing Your Authority“ and then “Establishing Prayer Altars”
As you pray through those, you will start to see changes in the spiritual atmosphere around you, and by then, you ought to be able to know what else you need to do.
Blessings!
Praise God! Peace and Greetings! I would like to sincerely thank you, dear beloved of the All Living God, in Jesus Christ! I appreciate this, more than you know. Sometimes as believers in Christ or unbelievers, we truly don’t know how to be freed, not that we desire to be entangled in bondage, but haven’t been properly taught on how to engage in spiritual warfare.
Many of the churches that I was raised in as a child, did not teach on how to fully use the authority, which Jesus Christ gave, to all of his believers. I didn’t learn about the 9 gifts of the Spirit, of how to truly align in faith, in God, through Jesus Christ, understanding that it is the divine work of God, which operates through us as empty vessels, channeling his supernatural virtue – to complete the divine work at hand.
I humbly and kindly, thank you, for sharing this priceless information. Preaching, prophecying and teaching are on 3 different levels. Many believers lose hope with receiving the understanding of how to operate in the Holy Spirit, sometimes the Holy Spirit will teach us, once we understand that he is the divine Comforter, Teacher, and Guide as we believe, for he prophecies what he hears from Jesus Christ, as Jesus Christ speaks what hears from God the Father. Peace and blessings!
