“He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.” Proverbs 10:17 KJV.

“He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray.” Proverbs 10:17 NKJV.

“He who heeds instruction and correction is [not only himself] in the way of life [but also] is a way of life for others. And he who neglects or refuses reproof [not only himself] goes astray [but also] causes to err and is a path toward ruin for others.” Proverbs 10:17 AMPC.

I am finding as a Prophet, many Pastors and Ministers who refuse any kind of reproof and instruction.

They will not even talk with me and hear what I have to say.

From time to time The LORD will lead a Prophet to give a Word or Instruction to a Pastor or Minister. It is God’s way to send a Prophet to talk for him.

Many Pastors today make no room for the Prophet to Teach or Instruct, or reprove them in any way.

Evidently they think they have risen in knowledge to the place they do not need anyone to instruct them, and many act as if they are offended if any Prophet does come to correct them.

Many Pastors walk in Lofty Opinion of themselves, thinking they are beyond making any error.

At least this is the opinion and conclusion I come to when one openly refuses any correction, reproof, or instruction.

Many Pastors and Ministers do not even recognize the Prophet’s ministry, and will not even receive him [making no room in the church for him].

Any Pastor who refuses instruction etc. will only go into more error.

Their knowledge will become less and less and they will all but become Foolish; because they think themselves to be perfect and beyond reproof.

See:

“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” Proverbs 9:9.

Any Pastor or Minister who refuses to be corrected and continues the wrong path through life sets a bad example.

Many people following that Pastor may be tempted to repeat his error.

For this reason the Scripture warns all against following closely those who will not walk in the Truth, but will even be called one who Hates God and His Truth.

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
The Scriptures speak to some detail about one who walks away from instruction and reproof.” Proverbs 13:20.

“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; but ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; when your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind,” Proverbs 1:22-27.

Many pastors and ministers reject instruction and correction because:

• it exposes their sin and it makes them uncomfortable.
• it exposes their rejection of biblical morality or claims of irrelevance.

Many then hide behind their pulpit and use their authority to reject anyone who comes to them with instruction or correction.

Unfortunately, many self-labelled “experts” with little legitimate knowledge of The Bible ridicule it and substitute faulty human reasoning in its place.

Seemingly educated, or not, such critics of The Bible lead others astray.

If the blind lead the blind they will all fall in the ditch.

“Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:14.

A Wise Man Will Receive Instruction!
