What Kind of Flowers Should We Buy?
2 Words in 1
Stinkin’ Thinkin’
It is smelling loud. Stifling! Sickening!
Imagine with me just how it smells to the LORD to hear how many think then talk……
Yes, and He has to listen to it all….
Stinkin’ as it does… Thinkin’ that belittles Him and makes Him sound like just a man: unable to do anything about your circumstances or supply that which [He Himself] has told you to do!
When we think and wonder how (?), do we not forget that we have a God who………. can do all things?
But we question his ability to perform all his promises to us, or to even do all things!
God Himself can do all things! Yes, and matter of a fact He can do that which is impossible.
For what is impossible with man is possible with God!
Yet we so many times sit around and talk our stinkin’ thinkin’ and worry about how things will get done.
We have a God who is listening and hears all that talk, even knows our thoughts. How sickening it must be to him to hear it!
Stop it!
Stop your stinkin’ thinkin’ and start believing God to do that which needs done!
“Call upon me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” Jeremiah 33:3 KJV.

I am posting this word in obedience to My LORD, Who is saying to us all:
“Stop your stinkin’ thinkin’ and have faith in Me.
Faith is not earthly but heavenly. I AM not earthly like a man who can only do earthly things…
I AM that I AM! You must believe before hand that I AM and I AM more than able to do all which you ask or think.
The just shall live by faith. Stop thinking. Start believing. Shut your mouth and believe in your heart that I AM more than able to do all.
Trust ME.”
What Kind of Flowers Should We Buy?
As a young minister (to be and in training) I went one day to the little snack bar on the college campus for a cup of coffee.
We called it ‘The Happy Corner.’ I set down with several other (desiring to be ministers) and ordered my coffee.
As I set there I begin to tell them all my troubles. You must know, at that time I was going through some of the most difficult days of my entire life, (at least I thought so at the time).
Things looked totally impossible and impassable. The way I was going seemed like at an end.
I needed money desperately, and I was married and had a wife and baby and another one on the way. My school bills took all (of any I could earn) money.
Things at home were terrible. My wife was upset and worried about groceries, etc.
I sat there that day just letting it all come out of my mouth. Oh, how horrible it must have sounded to the others listening. They just set there listening and nobody said a word. I went on and on and on…..
Suddenly one brother spoke up and said, “What kind of flowers should we get?”
I looked at him with amazement, “What do we need flowers for?”
“For the funeral,” he said!
“What funeral?” I asked.
He answered very dry and straight forward….
“God’s…..”
We all set there sickened. I most of all, because I knew then that I was acting and talking like … God is dead.
Well, friends after all these years, I still remember that day I spoke as if…. My God was dead.
