Why Revival Tarries — Especially for Wales

“The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on Fire!”
— Ferdinand Foch
I quote this deliberately here, because the situation in Wales today is sadly far short of the situation needed for God to answer positively the prayers of so many saints.
As with most things in a worldly sense, the government of the various Welsh Churches is woefully derelict.

“Mene, mene, tekel, upharsin” has never been more appropriate — many are found wanting!
This, sadly, will not be received in the love, sadness, and humility in which it is written.
It is a rebuke to the Welsh Church at large — not all, but probably the majority.
This is a strong Word — a humbling Word!
I start with a short illustrative tale of woe. It is verifiably true.
A guy who had been to a Welsh Bible Training College came into a Christian café some time back for a coffee.
In conversation with the staff, it appeared that he had been reprimanded for asking, “Is it not our calling to be in the community, rather than just in the Church?” (Note that this is my interpretation and paraphrase of what was actually said.)
He was rebuked and disciplined in short.
There were more conversations with tutors and staff at the college, but the end result was that it led to him not getting a posting to a Church.
They discarded him for even questioning their narrative!
This led to a chat when paying his bill, and after prayer, he left with God having given him the answer. “Go out to minster, ‘in the name of Jesus!””
What a sad, amazing, and appalling story all in one short paragraph.
I asked The LORD about this and was saddened by His response, which basically was that this is why; this is the condition, that will cause so many Churches in Wales to not see Revival again.
The LORD revealed to me that the spirit of control has taken over.
Also the spirit of fear — fear of lack of finance, lack of control, lack of support, etc etc etc.
It’s all so desperately sad.
God weeps over the Church in Wales. He even showed me that National pride has usurped everything else!
The most devastating words God spoke to me were these, “Everything is done for the glory of Wales and the glory of being Welsh!
It isn’t done for My Glory — that comes after Wales and being Welsh!”
He concluded with this, “Repentance is the only answer.
2 Chronicles 7:14, you know what it says because you quote it so often, is the call for Wales today.
There will be little or no outpouring of My Spirit without repentance and humility in prayer — especially for nationalism before holiness and obedience!”
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 .

CGB, in obedience — but with a heavy and breaking heart.
I know many will protest this Word, but in your heart of hearts you know it to be true — and widespread.
The good news is — there’s always hope, always forgiveness, always restoration! Jesus awaits your response!

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.

Dear Lord, I pray that people in Wales will put YOU FIRST. Father, give each one eyes to see You, and ears to hear You. Draw them to You oh Lord I pray, as You give them a heart to want to know You, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Blessings peace and love to you and yours dear Chris.
So true Chris. A rise in Christianity oftentimes is alongside a rise in nationalism. Even true hearted Christian folk then allow the nationalism to taint or overcome the move of God. It happens so many times in history and I see it now in some of the prophetic movement. I’ve seen a Christian on social media whose bio in Welsh translates “Wales First. Maverick. Their political affiliation. Their denomination. Follower of Jesus. Their job title.” In that order.
Loving your nation, people or culture is not wrong! But God is asking us to put all this by and worship and go deep with Him right now. It is His right to ask and our privilege to be invited.
Thank you.
Sadly this only confirms what we already see and hear. I suspect it’s generational following centuries of battling for their identity as an ethnic group within these islands that we call the United Kingdom! Ironic indeed!!!
