As a child of God, remember that you are never at a disadvantage.  Every attack spells victory, the light affliction works for you a weightier glorious life and the challenges against you are culminating into a powerful testimony.  No need to fear, all things are working for you good.  During hardships, or even in pain, it seems far-fetched to think that all are working for your good, till you go the records of God’s word.

When Jesus delayed to hearken to the call of his friends, Lazarus died.  The delay seemed like a mistake, but it is because Jesus knew that this sickness is for the glory of God.  He appeared four days after burial and gloriously called out Lazarus out of the tomb to the marvel of everyone present and all of us that have read the story centuries later.  The impact of Lazarus walking out of the tomb has been far greater than it would have been if he was healed and stopped from death.  Friend, sometimes it seems things get worse and even to the worst possible case-scenario, before they get to their best.  Be firm, if you only believe that all things are working for your good, you will see the glory of God.

Imagine what was running through Jairus’ mind when Jesus stopped on his way to his house to heal his daughter.  Jesus was stopped by a hemorrhaging woman who had taken power out of Jesus, and this is the power Jairus thought he needed to heal his daughter.  Time was running out, and power had also gone out!!  If you thought things had gotten worse, the worst was coming; as time passed the daughter died.  Those who brought the news broke it with a very discouraging tone and attitude, ‘why trouble the master?  She is dead.’ Jesus said, ‘don’t be afraid, only believe.’  He chose to believe in Jesus’ word and he witnessed a greater miracle; his daughter raised back to life before his eyes.  Oftentimes it seems God has delayed as your matters move from ‘bad to worse, and sometimes to the worst’, however; remember that in all these things you are more than a conqueror.  God’s time might not be your time, but remember He is never early and never late.  He makes all things beautiful in His time. Jesus the same yesterday, and today, and forever; what He has done before, He will do for you today.
