You Know My Ways!
It is because of the cross that we may receive the full measure of God’s love and it is because of the full measure of His love that He endured the cross.
You know my ways.
You know my thoughts.
You know my heart.
You know my intentions.
You know every facet of my being.
Every thought I entertain You foreknew.
Every emotion You already felt.
Every movement I make You have observed.
Every word I utter You have already heard.
Every place I go You have already been.
You know my anxiousness and the ways in which I have yet to be perfected in learning to trust Your provision and Your love.
Every fear not yet crushed beneath the weight of Your perfect love is known to You and yet You continue to exhibit patience and forbearance towards me.
You know even the wicked thoughts that I wish I never had. You know the way that I am tempted to allow such thoughts to become identity statements… An identity that is contrary to Your word.
You know the power of the emotions that can well up from within me. You know how, like storm clouds, they can darken my moods and even my perspective. You know of the many times I have chosen what I feel as truth ahead of Your word.
Every foul and impure word I have spoken You have heard. Yet when I have uttered forth curses rooted in my anger or selfishness and then repented You allow them to be erased.
Every wicked enticement I have allowed my eyes to behold You have already seen. You know the battle and along with it the victories and the defeats.
You know every scattered thought and distraction that draws my attention away from You… Even in my deepest times of prayer.
The list seems endless…
I fall short of Your perfect standard.
I fall short of Your glory.
Yet you do not reject me.
You do not cast me aside…….
In fact, You remind me that You remain faithfully at work within me as You continue to mold and shape me into the finished vessel that You alone saw before the dawn of creation.
You are too grand for the mind to fathom yet Your ways are those of humility.
Your ways are righteous and holy and yet You choose to impart grace to me.
Surely the human mind cannot grasp even the smallest measure of Your Love.
