I bumped into an elderly man in a car park a few months ago when I was staying somewhere.

We got talking and I found myself led by The Holy Spirit to talk about the hope that we have, as he was talking about how the world was going.

I was giving Testimony of how Angels have helped in difficult situations, and how I talk to Jesus and he responds, and how The Holy Spirit comforts me.

I told him about recent situations with me in my life and he listened intently.

As we were about to say our goodbyes, I told him how loved he was by Jesus and The Father, because he told me how he was brought up to go to Church, but never had any relationship or real belief and turned away.

I had to let him know that he was still loved and God never changes.

He then asked me if I believe in hell and I immediately said yes.  He was slightly taken aback but I think he seemed open to the honesty of the conversation.

His words were “You surprise me saying that, because you talk about Angels and seem really happy!”

I proceeded to simply say that He doesn’t make us love Him, we have free will, and when we choose not to be loved by Him, we cannot be around Him, because God and unrepented sin cannot meet.

He spoke of how God couldn’t love him — then all of a sudden he came out with Scripture and the words of a song about Jesus.

He was so taken aback by what came out of his mouth, but seemed amazed also.

His whole demeanour lit up as he said that he hadn’t heard that song for years and I said to him, that The Holy Spirit was speaking to him even now.

God loved him, loves him, and will always love him.

He loves you too!
