Be Filled with The Holy Spirit
Today is the day of Pentecost.
It’s the day heaven invaded earth and the people were ignited by God Himself in the Upper Room.
In the Book of Acts 2, one hundred and twenty people were gathered in one accord when, suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, that roared and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
They were all filled with The Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as The Holy Spirit gave them utterance, and Tongues of Fire came and rested upon each one of them.
This sound wasn’t a natural sound — it was a supernatural sound that came from heaven.
After doing some research with a couple of commentaries today, I found the word for heaven here is ‘Ouranos’.
The definition is: the region above the sidereal heavens, the seat of order of things eternal and consummately perfect where God dwells and other heavenly beings”.
That’s the highest realm!
The sound that filled the house wasn’t born on earth. It was birthed in The Throne Room of God.
Craig S. Keener notes that ēchos means “sound, noise” and that it’s source ‘ek tou ouranou’ marks it as supernatural, from the divine realm.
When The Holy Spirit came upon them, they received Tongues of Fire upon their heads and they were filled with The Holy Spirit.
They got so intoxicated on His glory, declaring the wonders of God in languages that they never learned as The Holy Spirit gave them supernatural utterance.
Some onlookers mocked and thought that they were literally drunk with wine — but then Peter stood up and said, “These people are not drunk as you suppose” and he quoted the prophecy from the book of Joel.
Those who received the word were baptized; three thousand souls were added to them that day!
One time The LORD gave me a vision of a house with the lights off. The house was intact, but the electricity was out.
There are some of you who are saved — but never received the infilling of The Holy Spirit.
Jesus wants to fill and empower every believer on the face of the earth.
In the Book of Acts 19, Paul traveled to Ephesus and found some disciples. He asked them, “Did you receive The Holy Spirit since you became a believer?”
They were already disciples of Jesus but had not yet received The Holy Spirit. They replied saying that they have not even heard of The Holy Spirit.
Then he asked them “Into what then were you baptized?” They didn’t understand what he meant, so they replied “into John’s baptism.”
Paul explained to them that John’s baptism was for repentance and to teach people how to follow Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of The LORD Jesus, and when Paul laid hands on them, The Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
On this day of Pentecost Sunday, The LORD gave me this message for you.
He desires every believer to get filled with The Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
He wants to flow through your hands and fill you to overflowing. He has so much more for us. He is about to pour out the new wine but the old wineskins will not be able to contain it.
This is the time for the latter day outpouring.
Today is the day it was prophesied — “I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh!”
“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” Joel 2:28.
“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with The Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4.
“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of The LORD Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, The Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” Acts 19:5-6.
Blessings in Christ Jesus,
