I AM With the King of King’s System
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:11-14.
Daniel refused to eat the king’s food. The king had a plan but God had a System. (Daniel 1:1-21)
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:1-4.
Daniel Refused the King’s Food
- Dishonoring his God
- Worry
- Torment
- Fear
- Pride
- Prejudice
- Disrespect
Daniel planted seeds while God fertilized the earth with — His Word — nourished it with truth, and delivered light into dark places.
Plant where you want something to grow. Find a bare spot where nothing is growing and plant faith. )Hebrews 11:1-3)
When Daniel was faced with hard places he trusted God. He knew his faith seeds were maturing into God’s wisdom. (Psalm 56:3)
Planting involves dirt. It shifts and changes. Dirt died to itself to become a man.
Dirt is the 2nd foundation for man’s life. The 1st foundation was God’s genius plan to create beings like Him. (Genesis 2:4-7)
Daniel could not unmake himself. God poured strength, loyalty, courage and boldness, a will to please the Father, and supernatural trust within this young man.
Daniel knew if he stuck to God’s plan everything would be alright. (Genesis 1:26-31)
God’s System for Daniel
- Praise and Worship
- Listening
- Surrendering
- Obedience
- Bible Study
- Representing God
- Following up on Truth
- Acting on Faith and God’s Promises
What I like about Daniel is he did not become a coward in the face of fear.
Being a prisoner of war did not change Daniel’s heart about his relationship with God.
He followed the king’s rules to a degree — but he fully obeyed his God!
“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14-15.
I don’t know about you — but I am sticking to “God’s System”.
Peace Out,
The Blessing of The LORD Be upon You,
Blessings,
